good to have you along - another 26w grow - if your box is the 'usual' size guessing you may add a bit more during flower

dopeman, watching your setup, seems to be progressing

so the state of the 'low grow' - good things are happening
the jock horror finally popped out - i'll have to check, but i think it was nearly 3 weeks from putting the seed into water until it showed

the clone has been out of the dome for 2 days - showing new growth, i think she's good at this point

2nd case is being setup - they can't all live in the same house

the jock horror is just a light smudge in the center of the 1 pot, clone looking a little bigger

alrighty then, all my girls have homes now

1st the jock horror, this is a seed/seedling that really had to struggle to survive, 2 weeks to spout, and still going slow
there was a bit of 'inner cover' left from the seed that had clamped the cotyledon leaves shut, so i gently pried that off with a needle - naturally it couldn't go completely smooth, felt the seedling move a bit, don't think i damaged the root but damn
pic not too good, but does show the current setup

next the nl#5, well there are 2 clones now, the mother is going to cut up for security's sake, so another clone for backup seemed a good idea
the 1st clone is 9 days and is a bit droopy, but i think she's going to take off, color is real nice, new clone is a bit droopy, see how that one does

looking good man :) props

thanks dopeman, you're being kind - things going pretty slow so far

so the state of the plants, i just about finished off my jock horror from letting it dry out
wasn't used to the smaller pot, and it dried right out on me, figured it was a goner
water it anyways, and it bounced right back, of course it's not much to look at
but she looks much more like a sativa, been a long time since i've seen anything sativa like

now the nl#5 clones - again it's going pretty slow
the 1st clone is 12 days, and is growing real slow - i did pop the branch when it was a bit small
the 2nd clone(on the right) is actually looking good, but at 3 or so days, she's got a ways to go

Holy shit, you don't know how long I've been looking for a journal like this :D
I'm thinking of doing the exact same thing but need a bigger computer case.

well, great to have you along then Krawnik, i've seen a few small pc case grows
i'm taking it down to the sub-micro range
my 1st grow went too well! got too much bud, as strange as that sounds

i'll be able to ship to yah just as soon as NY gets its medical marijuana going
that could be a little while, so you'll have to make do with some pics until then

and onto the grow, well good news and bad news
always been a bad news first kind of guy, so the northern lights could be better
learning about cloning the hard way, but that's often the usual way
my 1st clone has yellowing on one leaf, and the crown leaves are very thin and bending back
went and did my reading, looks like my 1st clone roots haven't taken yet
i used no root compound, but it's close to 3 weeks, figured they should have set
well, a clone can take 3 weeks easy, especially in less than ideal conditions
so i think i moved my clone too close to the light source too soon, i've backed her away and hope it's enough - the 2nd clone which i kept farther away has less of an issue

now for the jock horror, this is the better story, i almost chucked this seed half a dozen times, 2 weeks to sprout, seemed to barely able to pop out of the ground, but she finally is beginning to grow, picture kind of sucks though

jock horror is beginning to take off
i was worried the very slow starting seed meant a screwed up plant
but some growers told me that slow start doesn't mean anything, and they were right
get a lot of reflection for some reason on pics of this plant, may need to adjust my picture technique on this one

now to the clones, my 1st clone is really hurting, very little change
and i'm seeing a dark area on the lower stem, she may not make it
the 2nd clone is stable, but does have some yellow down low, think i did that with putting too close to the light
i may have done a bit better cutting the 2nd clone - stem was a little firmer, also got a more angled stem cut
the glass has water and dish washing detergent, great trap for fungus gnats

so i've crossed the 3 weeks line, was thinking how little plant i've grown for 3 weeks work

2 things have occurred that did this, a very slow sprouting seed and a clone that really didn't take

so enough whining, here's the nl#5 clones
the 1st clone looks frozen in time, going no where
the 2nd clone, well that seems to be starting to grow some leaf at the top

and the horror, growing at a respectable pace
doesn't look so sativa anymore, but that's fine, the horror genetics seems to have this trait

so it looks like 1 for 2 on the nl#5 clones, the 1st clone looks like a lost cause
thing is, it won't die, not at the top anyways, the 2nd clone is much better, but i'm not taking it for granted, been a long haul from reveg to clone

and the jock horror, putting along, not too exciting(yet!)

growone

the story of the 2 nl#5 clones, only 1 shall remain
been sweating it out, but i think the 2nd clone has taken
this is where keeping a grow log is not an ego thing, you can track progress which can be very handy
the 2nd clone has shown growth over time, i believe that can only happen if there is some root structure to support it
so i will make the next jump and transplant, was putting this off but i'm cautiously optimistic
so here they are, sing a little funeral song for #1, she just didn't make the cut :(

now the jock horror, definitely a different look, lime green leaves with a 'wrinkled' texture
seems healthy, but growing a bit slow

yup.. micro it up.. i used two 13w CFLs for most of my veg... switched to a single 26w cfl for about the first 4.5 weeks or so of my flowering and am now using a 42w 2700k cfl for the remainder of my flowering... check my thread in my sig... i think i have u beat on box size... and for anyone who says you will out grow your box, a good LST works wonders...

micro grower, good to have you drop by, checked out your grow
looks like you will reap a decent reward
but i'm still a bit smaller, 13 inch high case, and lst is what i'm planning, going to lst with a vengeance
