How can you say that look at the pics the bud is loving it add more and they work just as well as a HPS and save money. remember when your paying for the bills you might aswell buy the weed ... !!!
Lol i know a mate know has a HPS and the buds was not great of a 400w bulb so talk shit all you want ... tube are just as good as CFLs if the right watts

well I have seen nothing but good things about the compact t5's I am using cfls now, but I wont something where I can cover my grow area without so many damn bulbls lol and HID is not an option growing in a pantry/linen closet its just too small for the heat and I can cut holes in the walls to vent etc... so I am looking for the next best thing and from what I am reading these t5's may be it

get on ebay and buy you a 400w hps for $150, it will pay for itself after your first grow. You wont be pleased with cfl results, trust me

Yh you can pick up a cheap Hps lol 400w will do about 6 plants ok not great and the bills for that aswell doesnt make me want to lol my mate was pissed at what he got with a 400w bulb lol and when your paying alot for the bills NO POINT i would just buy it lol

My first plant got around 1 oz maybe a little less lol with 1x 85watt 2 30w.
and my mate got about 2oz of each plant
and now i got
2 x 85w Big Cfls (=350w Each) Both 2700k
1 x 30w tube (t4) i think , 1 x 20w tube, 4000k
1 x 30w Cfl, 6400k
1 x 24w Cfl 2700k
add all the bills up i worked off a lot better off so do what you want but Shut up about HPS'S as this is a CFLS forums

you guys dont listen, its not an option for all of us due to various reasons, I dont have the right size grow space for hid without doing some cutting into wall etc.... not doing that to my house!!! but I am going to grow so I am looking for the best ALTERNATIVE. its not about cost for me, its not about the electric bill its about space and ventilation, and some of these guys are getting up to 1lb using cfls, dont see how I wouldnt be pleased with that....
I am not knocking the hid guys, I just dont get it, before I started growing I never went to my dealer and said hey dont sale me any of those cfl bags lol most of us are not growing so our buds can grace the cover of high times or win a competition just growing something to smoke and maybe for some something to sale to a few friends I dont think you need a 400 w hps super combo bulb cool tube with 4 inch exhaust blah blah blah to accomplish that!!

Dude HID's will give you save your more on bud then you spend on power for them, your nuts. LOL. Also if you use CFL's your going to have to buy anyway when the couple buds are gone that you spent 3 months growing. LOL.
How do you think the people that grow for profit do it? Do you think they have a bunch of CFL's going? LOL. No they have HID's because they can make money with the amount of bud they get. They can cover the power bill and still have some left over. You are crazy to think you would be better off buying then spending the money on the power bill to run an hid! LOL Get a grip!

Yh you can get nice ammount bud with Cfls Or Tubes but you will need to add alot more if your aiming for more than one plant thats all i would do .. and now i got a Big Bang on the go with the light i got im looking at about 2 oz from it i hope more but ill wait and see remember with CFLs or Tubes you need to get them real close to the plant.
Yh for real HPS's and HID's are Great if you got the room and no problem wih heat. everyone know they work good but the bill is a problem of me
