How many plants per buckets

Well I got a job at a popular I guess it's considered fast food joint. We throw away pickle buckets by the masses. But they are 3 1/2gal. I'm sure they will be good for one plant. I'm just wondering how many I can fit in one without roots choking each other out.

You could do three or four if you didnt veg them more than14 days, but youd need a mother plant or a constant supply of clones. Make sure theyre covered with duct tape or paint if theyre white.

you should really look into hempy buckets, those are the perfect size. i grow 4 foot tall bushes in 3 gallon black plastic trashcan hempys
I just went and read up on what those are. Sounds good to me. In my grow room i have decided to not just use one method of growing. I'm gonna use a few. This will be one. Do you do just one per bucket? Or how many can fit?

I used to get pickle buckets from fire house subs. The pickle smell is a bitch to clean out and I think it messes up the pH until you actually get all the pickle stink out. Not sure if it's the same buckets, mine were 5 gallons and red. Light would get through the red and cause problems so you have to cover it up. Your probably better off paying a few dollars for clean blue buckets from Lowe's. I haven't covered them up and haven't had any problems with light getting through. I think they also have black buckets online would be even better.

The pickle buckets will work but might give you a few problems. Only do one per a bucket.

These are 3 1/2g and white. I was just gonna paint it black then wrap it in black duck tape. Garbage bag on the inside.

gorilla tape stays on pretty good, no need for a garbage bag inside.
look at family dollar or dollar general or w/e they have where you are and you can find opaque black 3 gallon trashcans for 3 bucks a piece.

1 and don't paint them leave them white. They can reflect the light up rather than absorb it.

One per bucket, make sure you put holes in the bottom and some pebbles or other aggregate for drainage. You can start a few in one but you'll definitely have to pull em out and separate the roots. I don't bother because it freaks me out, done it before and never killed one but I hate doing it. I'd keep it simple and if your getting free buckets why crowd them?
