How much for a pound near you?

I have a buddy who still does the commercial weed thing. Its changed alot in that now instead of compacted no name sativa, its been gallon ziplocs with "gelato" and "blue dream" and such. No seeds very dense, actually surprisingly good. What we used to call good mids. He pays 5000 for 10 lbs. and has no problems moving it. I dont sell( or buy) anymore but before id sell even my worst grow for 350 a lb. Id give it away to the disabled vets i know. Those guys and gals really need and cant afford good smoke and they damned well deserve it more than some huckster buying weed at pawnshop rates. 350? Shit by the time i count my bean money, soil, nutes, power bill etc. thats not shit. Hell i ended up with 13 zips last grow and i still have 1/4 lb. even after giving my peeps in need an 1/8 or 1/4 apiece. I am glad i grow anyways. Its nice never having to wait on a phonecall for days and never running out. Im spoiled. Its such a great hobby too. But if I was needing to turn a profit against that? Hell no. Only time i paid that little the weed was compressed into lengths of pipe and tasted and smelled of pure diesel fuel from being smuggled in truck fuel tanks. lol. I love legal weed.

That place is like a frickin pawn shop i swear. Theyll offer 20 bucks on a $300 guitar or gun and sell it the next day for $299. I hope the fkrs gets the wrath of botrytis, PM , or whatever . Cheap weed would be great but you know they aint selling cheap.

I can't count how many fellow growers that have shut down... Dispensary Owners too. It's just gotten out of control, over regulated, and just a real pain in the ass. Just grow your own. I got lbs. in storage and 9 growing.. we'll never run out. Hell, when I was younger, I would have killed for what I would sweep off the floor after a trim team came through and just tossed in the trash.

Totally agree. Us , the ones who smoked the mexican brick, can appreciate even our ugly plants after what we smoked before. When i was in college the average quarter bag was seedy stemmy and smelled like it was stored in a wet crawlspace. The sugar leaf trim and leftover pieces i give away are way better than that stuff was. Its so much better to grow your own.

No kidding!... that brick weed was about half stems and seeds.... lots of seeds. It's so easy now to grow quality weed at home.

Broker told me the only business he has lost so far are the rednecks in my state. Most of his buyers dont want the shit getting shipped from legal markets, they look at it like they did the old mexican brick weed. He is not getting $300-400 a ounce like the 90's, but he is still getting $200 - 250oz easily. His grower is a horticulturist that has been doing for 3 decades though, and he will retire before he lets #'s go for less than 2k.

That's good for him!.... must not be in a saturated market like Oklahoma.

Even the black market has finally learned to chop the males and somebody is doing better pheno selection. Im pretty sure they are ordering beans bulk. I mean , ive seen more commercial weed strain diversity in the last 5 years than my entire life. Hardly ever see any beans, and ive had him looking. He found me a dozen or so Ice Cream Cake , and a few Gelatos. The weed had huge buds and was quite good. It was still commercial old so probably 8-12 months, ergot few terps. But i grew a couple plants outta his 2 years ago and they were highly resistant to everything. Easy as pie to grow. So they aint just sowing fields of swag anymore.

Wow. I just started looking into micro greens myself. Doesn’t seem worth it though. They don’t need much light, and there’s a fast turnaround. But, it seems like a tough sell. And, not worth much.
