Wow, chem dawg 91', #4 etc... One of the most powerful strains (so to say). Recently the originator of chem dog and dinafem created dinachem with the help of someone who had a guava chem strain.

You only rinsed your rock w/ fresh water and you wonder why you have problems? Second line in sig for you. I never ever ever soak my rock for 24 hrs. Did you make this up? The rock only needs to be clean. Duh. as in sterile w/no organic matter left on it.

Low PPM and polished gravel = no need to flush. I have never had a root problem either.

Your not gonna get a low ppm if you are reading instructions on the bottle which most novice growers do... Power growers never have root problems simply because the media cleans the solution before it recylces back to the res. Power growers can have 100 degrees temp in res and would still do fine..

Oh I've gotten a little further advanced than that. Just a tad. Thanks for the concern though. 34 years as medical professional calibrating sensitive equipment and maintaining anything from clean to sterile settings to isolation with negative pressure air rooms. A bunch of plants in simple solutions has been kind of easy - comparatively. Our "solution" conductivity at work ranges from 13.4 - 14.5, our pH from 7.1-7.5 with acceptable error of 0.01%. Bicarb solution has a conductivity of 50-51 acceptable. We mix our own dialysates and bicarb solutions daily.

Uh . . . the media cleans it how? Explain. I seriously doubt that 100 degree res temp would be compatible with cannabis. So what in the fuck are you reading?

The media keeps the bacteria from reaching the res and other harmful organic matter such as algae. The media keeps the roots with enough oxygen to thrive even if the res temps are too high and the water is not getting enough oxygen. Explained in detail= if the res develops some sort of bacterial problem, once it is bubbled to the surface where the hydroton is then slowly drips back down through the hydroton it is cleansed/destroyed. My res has reached up to 96/97 degrees in the middle of summer in a power grower and I never got slimed, never saw a yellow leaf, or even saw signs of stress. I also grow DWC/bubble ponics and its not the same at all compared to a power grower.

My power grower is sterile without effort...
