The thing is these numbers apply to millions of people. We're talking about millions of years of life, even if it is only 3/4 of a year for each person.

we sit around doing nothing watching TV eating junkfood and driving cars everywhere. They dont. They get an extra half year. who cares?
We need more doctors so we can eat more bad food and do less exercise to remain moderatly healthy. We use "magic" to cure diseases and illnesses and injurys we get from being a lazy slobs and wecking cars and crashing planes.
