BEFORE the vacuum. You said you heat the oil on the parchment paper... in the oven... like a minute at 170f again? or less...

I run a little over a quarter ounce a time in the baster. Yes, heat the oil in the oven until it turns molten an gooey. However long that takes with what you're working with. Usually few minutes because the oven is huge... but if you have a toaster oven... 20 seconds.
 
so 10 oz to a oz of bud... 5 seconds of butane for a quarter oz run?

Also, do you use anything on the other end of the baster, where you fill it with butane?

Well I put in the tip for the butane can so its a flush fit but thats it. All the caps come with the 5x refined butane

in other news... im fucking shit faced hahahahahahahaha 'bout to smoke a bowl and watch the room spin yeeee digg?! hahahahahah
 
I always wondered the same thing Verde....then I bought a can of Vector and it all made sense.....they come with different sized tips
 
So i know i never posted the pics of my errll. In true stoner fashion i went over to my buddies house to blast, I film the actual first blast(of 4) and the beggining of the purging, and sure enough my camera's battery died seconds after we start poppin the bubbles.

So did you decide when your gonna be blasting Verde? Make sure your a little more prepared then i was with your camera. haha

And yeah the only thing you do with the tiny end of the baster is jam in the best fitting tip that comes attached to your butane of choice. It should have either a ring around the top or under the lid itself with 3-5 different sized tips.
 
Just ran top top shelf nugs. It's in its second to last vac purge right now, dankest smelling oil I've made to date. This Kush smells amazingly fruity and wow did the smell transfer over more than any other batch I've ran. As soon as the tane started dripping out it was a huge gooping puddle of golden honey. Highest yield so far, as well.

9g in got 20% yield = 1.8g of amazingly bomb smelling honey oil

Just got my turkey baster yesterday and my vector this morning. I only bought one can for now as this is my first try but I have plenty of trim. How many runs can I get from the can of butane? Or do I use the whole can for one run? Id like to get at it this evening.
 
i know with buds you use one can per ounce, and the turkey baster holds roughly 7 grams(6-8 depending on buds). So you get to pack the turkey baster about 3-4 times per can. But when your dealing with trim i'm not 100 percent positive at the moment. Ill try and find out real quick for ya though =P

Im guessing it's going to be the same, 1oz trim per can of butane.

Nice! I really wanted that dish after i saw it haha. I'm really diggin the white lipped dishes artists have been bustin out lately.
 
I guess I over looked on the very first page the chart of how much butane versus what you're using. Looks like an ounce per can even for trim.
 
Second day, the errl is all earwax now. Which is less sexy to look at, but very easy to handle and dab. Taste an smell are still as strong as before. I'll get some shots when I get back home. Looks like creamy delicious wax

I found my error in the tek... The oil that came out wanted to turn to shatter so bad ad I didn't keep it molten long enough... Kept going from shatter to oil before every vac so eventually it whipped into wax.. Should of left it on the PP for the vac'ing and should of left it in the oven longer

I couldn't stop it from buddering due to some fault in my tekk... somewhere along the lines it got underpurged so I whipped it up today in the dish at 170F. Now it's a stable earwax you can pull dabs with your fingers, all dehydrated n shit. At least now I KNOW it's ready for consumption lol, just finally tried it today on top of a bowl of Bubba Kush and OG x White Widow... i'm fucked up, taste came out so well, completely overpowered the weed in the bowl.
 
So, i'm glad to say I'm stoned off some oil.

I made your shit benassi... I think I fucked up reading pussymoney weeds thing.... we used 12 cans on 1.5oz... is that wrong, did we use wayyy too much? We were stoned and figured out somehow that each can is 1oz LOL I think that was a retarded mistake that caused a LOT more work than necessary..


i'm now thinking about just buying a nice extractor(okeif), LOL I was having trouble getting the tane into the baster... The little red things SUCK, and it was leaking everywhere & down onto my hand, actually got a littttle frost bite, and yes I was wearing winter gloves :lol:

not bad for a first run... we ran 1.5oz and got like 4.4g... WITHOUT scraping the pan... i got over to my friends and realized we didn't have any razor blades! We used a spoon, I plan to go back tomorrow with a razor blade and mightyvac, and scrape/purge the last gram in the pan..

let me know what you think, be honest about the 12 cans of tane LOL

OK so I just figured out the vector cans are 320ML, or 11oz.... yes?


So, I used 12x more than I needed to use? :?

Man why did that make sense last night... gotta stop smoking hash before doing complicated things




Does the quality of the oil suffer when you use more tane than necessary??
