How did you measure the pH? Verm and perlite are supposed to be neutral, so with only a 1/3 of your medium your pH sounds surprisingly high. What soil is it?my plants are i the soil and the ph is 7.5-8 how do i lower it? use ph down and add to water?? they are 1 week old in 9 l pots with 1/3 verm, perlite and soil ratio
Most natural way would to add a little lemon juice until you reach the ph you desire...my plants are i the soil and the ph is 7.5-8 how do i lower it? use ph down and add to water?? they are 1 week old in 9 l pots with 1/3 verm, perlite and soil ratio
what he ^^^ saidadd some elemental sulfur. work it into soil and then water in.
thanks for all the help guys, think im going to flush them with some slightly acidic distilled water then recheck the ph and hopefully will get it down, dont want to use vinegar or lemon juice as they are only 1 week old and dont want to risk harming them.my plants are i the soil and the ph is 7.5-8 how do i lower it? use ph down and add to water?? they are 1 week old in 9 l pots with 1/3 verm, perlite and soil ratio
ok, how much should i use? and i cant mix it in as the plans are already in? will it disolve in water? thanks!water won't change the ph of soil. neither will vinegar or lemon juice. sulfur..............
so just bought some "chempak sulphar plant fert. trace elements" you recommend just sprinkling it on top before watering or try dissolve it in water then water the plants? carried out 3 different tests it def to alkaline, how would the run off test be different to soil test? thanks[h=1][/h]TOPP DRESS IT IN BABY STEPS.
