how to make the buds more dense?

me and my buddys plants have been budding for 2 or 3 weeks and we were wondering how to make the buds bigger and denser.

At the third week of budding, I add to my nutirent cocktail molasses @ 2 tbl per gal of water.
 
Yep, light provides energy, less light less energy. More light more growth due to more energy to grow.

A very rough estimate on how much you can grow with a HPS light is to take the number of watts and that's the number of grams you can get under optimal conditions.

400 watts = 400 grams
 
yeah they are atleast 10 hours b/c the trees block some morning light. how much should i give each plant with the molasse water?
 
Still have to have the energy though. You can only get out of a system what you put into it.

Less light = less energy = less growth = less buds
 
yeah i got two plants that probably only get like 5 hours of light and all they got is little popcorn buds ohwell my others will make up for it. hopefully lol
 
Five hours of light? Are you serious? That's no where near enough light. They should be getting 12 hours; some strains prefer 10 but that's the minimum I think.
