im an indoor grower but ive been looking into going guerrilla once i go back to washington. does anyone know where i can find any resources on the subject? or got any tips on how you got away with it?

Scouting a spot is fun and easy, all need you need is a good pair of hiking boots,a compass, and a little patients. What you have to do is go hiking, exploring, you see the more time you spend in the woods, out on the the trails the more you see. But you have to spend time outside, it is almost like a light switch, you will be cruising along and thinking man I can't see a single spot, than after awhile your sight will acclimate to the surroundings and bam! All of the sudden off in the woods you will see a stream of light breaking through the canopy. Cruise to the spot, and now this is very very important look up, and orient yourself to where you are in relation the the suns movements, having a compass at this point is good to predict the suns movement. The first couple of spots probably won't be great, since it will probably easy for you to get to them, but like I said spend time looking, "the more time spent the better you will get at it", that is really the best advise anyone can give you. Some tools you can use to start are, Google Maps, this will give you a rough idea of where to start, area density, things like that, oh and take your time with this tool as well, it may be a couple of days playing around before you gain a good sense of of the land scape, shades, terrain and what not. Another way of scouting is using water sources as a pivot. Water is important to the outdoor grow, equally as important to indoor grows (I think), have never grown indoors. But once you locate a body of water go from there, it can be a stream, river, lake what ever. Just remember, Spend Time, Look Up, and Don't Settle on the first spots. Good Luck. Oh and other tools kinda off topic are kayaks, buy a kayak to cruise the rivers and lakes. A dog, go to the local shelter and get a dog, also a great excuse for being out there. Opps I forgot you should have an excuse for being where you are incase leo comes around. For this a bird watching book, and binoculars will suffice, so Good Luck again.:peace:

haha thanks man. im already on google earth a ton so badass, now i can call it research. i imagine im gonna need a pesticide, any suggestions? also, do you know of any tricks to keep animals out? is the "smell factor" less of an issue in the woods?

if you can afford a tree camera with a infared flash i highly suggest getting one then you can see if it has traffic throught the area. having a good reason for being in the area is of the up most importance personally i really go fishing when i check my kids . people ask alot of questions as well know your hobby inside and out. doing clandestine growing is a rush have fun and good luck.................

look up guerrilla grow in google, im sure ull find pages long articles on proper scouting

Itʻs easy. like monkey said. Just walk around the woods thinking "Could I grow weed there?" Take in thought many factors though. Whereʻs the nearest population? Are their any trails? Man made AND deer trails. Is the spot easy to find? (Is it by a landmark that might attract a sight hikerʻs/seerʻs eye) Looking up at the sky should be obvious because your plants need that light. How will you get your plants and supplies to the location without being seen? Will you be bringing soil to your sight or using natural soil? How and when will you have to water?

Youʻll figure it out once you get out there. If you can though try to plant in a spot where the weed will blend with the natural environment. And try not to create any trails to your grow-op by taking the same path over and over. (thatʻll get you caught)

if i hear a helicopter, hypothetically, how long would i have before someone was on the ground? i know im not doing anything big that would draw attention but i wanna make sure i can get out of there before an eradication team is on the ground. how far away from the grow should i make a hiding spot if i gotta bolt?

how close to civilization can i get away with this? or is it more of a case-by-case thing?

To keep spider mites, fungi, mold, and the rest off your plants I am currently using a product I get from Home Depot called, Green Light, it come in concentrate form, and is organic. This is important :Dilute According To Instructions" Otherwise you can do harm to your plants. For keeping critters of,f and away from my plants I am currently using a product called "Liquid Fence" again you can buy this in concentrated form from any of the Depots or local garden stores. As far as the dilution no big deal you mostly spray it around your plants. Keep in mind growing outdoors you will always encounter some loss, drought, to much rain, animals, and the list goes on. I don't know about where you live but cultivation laws get much worse for anything over 10 plants, so I personally keep my grows at 8 plants per location. As far as helicopters go, I have no clue, actually there is so much air traffic where I live I just tend to ignore it, I mean 6 to 8 plants really stays off there radar so to speak. Um let me think....., oh I use to keep spray bottles at my grows but I have stopped that, you really don't want anything but weed at your grow site, also you can put duct tape on your boots so they can't see what type of tred you have on your boots, I personally don't but you can. There are Guerilla Grow sites out there, read em, and take everything with a grain of salt. But by far the number one best advise I or anyone can give you is "Keep Quiet!!!!!!!". Good Luck.:peace:
