Most of that employment isn't classroom staff. Schools have become a bit management-heavy, and in my state they conceal it by using administrators with nominal teacher credentials. cn

Still doesn't make it ok to throw money at a broken system. Also something worth mentioning is union teachers are almost impossible to fire, even if they do a horrid job.

I was suprised to find that we have such a low numbers of violent crimes per population, they always want to make it sound like war. also (they're expensive)Overall, local police operating costs for fiscal year 2007 were $116,500 per sworn officer and $260 per resident.

Perhaps, but the point was that we needn't appease the rich, the rich are one of our nations most renewable resources. They are far from the precious finicky gems that the right likes to portray.
I don't feel the need to appease the rich either, your claim that the right puts them on a pedestal is only in your mind. The majority of conservatives that I know understand the economic benefit of the wealthy and their investment capabilities, we look at it more like, don't bite the hand that feeds you.
What I can't understand is, why people on the left are so preoccupied with how much money other people have, instead of focusing on making more themselves!
