HPS Camera Filter?????

Hello All!!!!!

Spending time with the plants I love to grow is my favorite hobby. Not only do I enjoy chillin' with the ladies, I love taking pics of the sexy bitches! But I am tired of the yellow-orange glow that you get from the HPS. And am always too busy(or too stoned) to remember to run to the GreenRoom just before the lights come on to snap a couple pics.

I've heard of people using "filters" on their cameras, or taking pictures through "filters" to reduce the HPS coloring......has anyone else heard of or used this method of photography before? Any help on where to find the filters and how to use them would be great. Also any input on other methods of taking better pics would be great! Currently I just use a lid off of a Rubbermaid tote and try my best to block the "sun" in the tent.

I just want a normal pic of my little sluts!!!!!!!!! Is that too much to ask.

You need to learn how to re-size your photographs first.

Your pic is so huge it gives me a headache.

The best thing I've found to do is use a polarized filter and make proper adjustments to your white balance. Editing photos in RAW format seems to give me the best/easiest results

I use the Automatic white balance on my cannon. It works GREAT!

or you can just wait until about 5 minute AFTER your lights turn off.. not gonna harm the plant getting flashed a bit.

Thanks for informing the OP (and the rest of us) that you are of no help whatsoever.

Being a hobbyist photographer for many years, I have many suggestions on how the OP can take a better photograph.

However, I think he should learn how to post a photograph first before we get to the other stuff.

I would like to add that the OP did not share what kind of camera he is using, what kind of lenses he has access to and what program (if any) he uses for post. How can anyone help him if he does not share this information?

Asking someone "how to take better photographs" is like asking someone "how to grow Marijuana".

Wow! I was hoping to figure out how to do the same and had to read all that.

It is done by adding the picture using the insert image function in the quick reply box. Then you upload from your computer or from an image host.

The dude wasn't cool. I had this whole thing I'd worked up to say and then decided not to. But for people like you, now you know.
