ive heard that for small tight areas the LOWRIDER strain is top notch. Also strains that are indica are generally "easier" to grow in small areas or indoors.

As far as you deciding on a 250 watt or 400.....go with the 400watt. HTG is a good company. I would just use some clear cfl's for the vegg and the bigboy for the flowering.....as far as wattage and electrical use......my bill has gone up around 20$ u.s. a month with the 400watt. Also it might be smart to get one of those automatic electric shutoffs in case of a heat emergency in the tight space your working with.:joint:-puff n pass

I'm about to order the 250 watt HPS / MH light from htgsupply - I want to make sure that I will be ok with the regular reflector, and don't need a cooling one or anything. I have a pretty small space, but will try to get fans in. Thanks for the help !!

i am a new grower also and let me tell you it was a chanlange since i new nothing about plants. i veg the plants with http://www.buzzillions.com/dz_513118_catalina_industries_visionmax_27_watt_reviews in a little armoir for vegging i have a hps 430 watts set up in my closet bought 2 toilette ceeling fan 60$ 1 in and 1 out and it stay cool going to put them in tonight for budding 3 of them :-) dont forget the hight of the light is very important. buy a deflector that can be cooled
