Hello,
So if you look at my signature you can see what I have set up per plant (only 1 light shared between both). The Grow bucket was bought already made from a hydroponic store complete with the nets, pre-drilled air tube hole, as well as a drain nozzle. The "kit" also came with the air pump and an air stone. After I got home and set everything up, adjusted the light height, hung the thermostat, timer switch, etc, I noticed there wasn't a water pump to send the water up from the bucket into the net. I also noticed the labeled "fill line" was above the bottom of the net.
With all that in mind, I need some help from seasonal hydro growers with my first grow. I see videos and forum posts about over watering seeds and not to drown them, but I also see posts, to me, suggesting as long as the water is oxygenated you are safe. Since I do not have a water pump to feed into the net, can I fill the water up past the net, with the rockwool and seed sitting in the water as long as I keep the air stone going? Should I only fill the water to the base of the rockwool, but have the sprouts a bit higher than the bottom of the rockwool so it's absorbing from the rockwool and not "swimming" in the water?
I do plan on eventually getting a water pump, but will this grow be possible without it?
Thanks for reading, I hope this is a legitimate question...
