Hygrozyme during first of two weeks of flushing??

I was thinking this would help my flush be more effective if I added 8ml of Hygrozyme to my molasses and water I use to flush during the week before the last. What do you think?

I am still not sure why growers think they need to flush their plants. Like UB says, 'are you growing a toilet?' Anyways if you have a healthy root system using the Hygrozyme would probaly just be a waste...

First two weeks of flushing?!? I sincerely hope there isn't a second two weeks. Ideally, the last watering before harvest is a flush and then you harvest when the soil dries out well again. Flushing is overwatering and since you're going to be drying the plants, you wait until the saturated plants reach the dry end of their watering cycle to harvest. Never flush two waterings in a row. Flushing washes away the nutrients the plants need to survive.

First person besides myself I've heard say that. No technique has been blown out of proportion the way flushing has. So many people believe things about flushing that aren't true, it could be a religion.

Flushing is greatly misunderstood. And is in fact beneficial for many container gardens. It all has to do with your grow style. Flushing simply means ceasing feritgation, and going to plain water. Relax.

Most folks use way too much fertilizers trying to boost yields, and giving the herb a harsh taste. So cutting out the food and going with plain water is a good thing. Earlier the better IMO with the heavy feeding guidelines nute companies push on the public. I've done 4 week "flushing" and although yield suffers... best tasting herb ever.

Hygrozyme... meh. If you plan on reusing the media I think it would help your long term goals to use some.

Ill keep it simple.
Hygrozyme is safe to use whenever. It will not affect the taste of the final product and unless you have root disease wont actually do anything directly positive for your grow.

If you have root issues or recycle however this stuff is GOLD.
I use it all the time to help break down old root mass (recycling) and to keep exsiting roots prestine (disease prevention).

I use to use hydgrozyme till I compared the product Quantum growth against it. Quantum is cheaper and does the same if not more than hydgrozyme. We ran a side by side test in 5 gallon buckets with the same strain and nutes the only difference in the two were Quantum and hydgrozyme. The hydgrozyme plant was about four inches taller and the root ball about eight inches longer but the plant with the Quantum Growth added to it was much greener in color and had alot more thickness to the stem. It seemed to be alot busher than the Hydgrozyme. The root ball size was not as long but alot bigger in size or mass. The yield didn't compare we had close to two oz. more dried product off the quantum plant than the Hydgrozyme plant.. I have been a user of Quantum Growth since that day. I have saved on nutes and preach about microbial products constantly. I located the product from a distributor in fl. Douglas Speed and Associates, check out their web site, great customer service know their products. The microbes in Quantum convert all the nutrients for the plant ten times faster than the plant can itself. The plant doesn't have to work as hard to convert and spends that extra energy growing and producing yield. Not that Hydgrozyme is a bad product, there is just better and cheaper products on the market today. Indoorman preaching the microbes.

IS this what your talking about? http://www.greenearthag.com/

They are completly different products that do not even relate from what I can tell.
Hygrowzyme is pure enzymes - thats about it.

The Quantum seems to be more of a mycorrhizae product.

Totally different things here unless Im missing something.

Seems like you would want to use them TOGETHER and not exclusive of each other, the Hygrozyme would HELP the life in the Quantum product.

Yes, they also distribute the product tried to talk to someone there they never got back to me. That's why I called Douglas Speed and associates out of Fl. they returned my e-mail and offered great customer service and knowledge of their products. The link you have I never got a return call and the distributor out of Fl. had better price even with shipping cost. You are correct though in your products they are compatible and could be used together. One is enzymes and the other microbial I just don't like paying for them both so I went with the one that offers more benefits at a lower costs. I still add nutrients for the microbes to have something to eat and convert I just use half of what I used to use. And get better results than using just Hydgrozyme with my nutrients. I have nothing aganist the product I just went with what the future holds for growing. I do believe I will get other bottle(small) and do a trial on one with the products together who knows could be big, bushy, green as New Zeland and a root ball the size of texas with a yield that would make Cheech proud. Didn't mean to dish on anybody or their products just like to turn folks on to great products. Indoorman happy growing

I swear! I can see flushing in case of over nuting and that's about it.

Now, it seems if someone so much as cuts a fart near the grow, it's flush em right away.

It's silly and stressful to the plants the way it's overdone.

Hygrozyme if used too late in flower can extend your flower cycle. when it breaks down the old beat up roots it turns it into food (nitrogen). When i first used it my flowering cycles were extended for 1 to 2 weeks. now i completely cutoff hygrozyme at last 3 weeks. flush week i water with strait water and 1/2 tsp molasses...

hygrozyme is awesome if used in the first few weeks of flower. gets rid of all that built up nitrogen...can be used with anything...h202/tap water/nutrient mix etc...:joint:
