Hypochlorous acid

Reading about this....
Safe for people, pets etc. We make it and use it in our body. White blood cells create hypochlorous acid in our body and it's a part of our immune system function.
It can be used to keep your res sparkling clean, keeps irrigation lines clean, removes biofilm, and salt deposits, helps maintain ideal ec levels in medium, kills algae, kills bugs, can be used as a foliar spray to eliminate pm.....
Supposed to really make roots grow like crazy.
Can use it in foggers, sprayers for entire room sanitization...
The list goes on.....
Anyone using it? I just got a gallon. Will be trying it out. Trying to find a better/cheaper source and maybe mix my own?
Anyone doing that?
Lemmie know!

Not plugging any company either... this site just had alot of good info on it so I'm sharing that link. Any hypochlorous acid at the same concentration should work exactly the same.
Personally, im using floraflexs' version because it was just released in Canada (to my knowledge...never been able to source it here otherwise).
There's many others including UC roots.
Could this be the next 'must have' in gardening? Sure seems like a great tool to have in the arsenal.

Yea, Im totally aware of the pool shock. Ive used it before. I'm more interested in the other benefits the hypochlorous acid has.... It's basically the same idea as bleach, but better...?
i'll let you figure that out if it's better. keep us posted! it's the same as UC roots ( i think?)

tried it and still got biofilm in my bubble cloner :(
Hm interesting. To my understanding, you can add it everyday or every other day. Kinda like peroxide, as it kills off whatever it's killing it dissipates and becomes lower concentration. So you need to add more in.

Lol ya now that I've automated my setups I feel like I'm not doing anything.. time to experiment! Lol
i left one plant for 3 weeks when i went to visit my folks this Xmas. i figure it would be dead upon arrival but the auto waterer kept her alive. lmao!!!

for what its worth, i bought a hypochlorous acid generator once, it uses cooking salt, water and electricity.
the generator itself do work, you get some swimming pool smell and i would say it cleans quite well.
the hypochlorous acid made by these cheapos isnt as stable, long lasting as the bottled stuff you can buy (bit ago ive read about it, it depends on the generator).
but thats no concern as its so cheap to make a new batch.
havent used it in hydro, just for cleaning, so ymmv.

oh brother i added and added and added by the end i was still getting the biofilm so i really dumped it in there. still no luck. its just my experience though. i dont do hydro cause i am not good at it at all on one side ewc bin on the otherside gallons of organic soil and air pump pumping all that biologically rich air into the tub. it was bound to fail hahaha
