As the title says... I don't know what I wanna go to school for.. I thought that criminal psychology would be something I would want to do.. and while I still want to do that and think it would be exciting.. I'm not sure that I want to go to school for 8 years... I want to do something thats going to allow me to travel and still be exciting.. I was thinking maybe journalism... maybe that'd be cool... I don't know i'm really cofused.. never reall entertained te fantasies of "when I grow up I wanna be..."

i dont know what to say... you have to figure out what you would be happy doing... and go from there... i have taken your example and gotten my ass back in school... i'll be starting in spring as a horticulture major :)

Just think of what YOU really want to do with your life. I know that with my field ill be able to get a job in the area that I want to live, and thats the most important thing to me.

I don't really know.. I like to write.. and everybody tells me I should do something in that feild.. but.. i'm worried that once my hobby is turned into an occupation it wont be asfun anymore.. I don't know..

yeah i've thought about that.. but i'm not too impressed with the idea of digging around in somebodies nasty ass hair... i know some people keep teir shit clean and all.. but some of you motherfuckers out there act like you're allergic to cleaning products... that shit is your friend...

I actually found it ironic that you made this thread though... psychology was always my first field of choice... but i decided as well that i couldnt do 8yrs of school:-P..... then switched over to an international business major, but burned out on that idea and dropped out.... havent been back yet cause i wasnt sure of what i wanted to do... but after much thinking, plants and gardening really make me happy, even having a job in it hasnt deterred me, so Horticulture it is for me now, starting spring semester. you have to do something along the same, search out for yourself what you REALLY have an interest/passion in, and jump into it bro,.

if any of your hobbies are something you could get paid for then try doing those. be cuse if you do somthing that you love to do you will feel like you never worked. i am going back myself i like building things but after a stroke i can't anymore. so i am looking at cad. computer added drafting. if i can't build them then i will design them. if you like working on motorcycles check out mmi motorcycle mecankins instute( too damn stoned to spell)

I was thinking journalism... because like to write.. but music is something I could do everyday and never feel like i'm working.. I don't think I could play music.. but maybe producing or mixing.. something like that... Journalism would be awesome.. i'd love to be a writter... reporting on stories.. I could never be an on air personality... but maybe write for a paper or something... or a magazine... that would be cool as fuck..

I've always had a fascination with serial killers, which is why i wante to go for forensic psychology.. but it's not like you get a degree and then get to interview Richard Ramirez or anybody like that.. you hae to put intime working with DHS and filing reports.. interviewing everyday fuck ups... alot of time testifing in court.. ect ect... and thats if you get a job with a big enough police department... other than that you're kinda just regulated to working at the social security office.. so thats what turned me off to that profession..

journalism seems to be a rather wide open field .... might not land a job writing for something that many people actually read, but its not the point of people reading it, its about you writing it.... its gotta be something you actually like though, because a journalism degree is going to involve a shitload of boring english/grammer/writing classes; but im sure you've thought about that:-P
