Strange patterned holes in my leaves. I'm not seeing any bugs or slugs around. What do you think it is??
I got holes in my leaves but no bugs that I can find.

Are you in soil or soiless mix? Can you test the medium for pH? I have had times feeding at 6.5 strictly where the medium ended up really low (like in the 4's) and I had to compensate with higher pH feedings to get things back inline.
The times I have seen that stripey pattern it's always been a pH that was way off. May also wanna check your meter and make sure it's properly calibrated.

It's in soil. I don't have a way to test the medium yet. This is my first grow (still not fully prepared yet). What's the best way to test soil ph?

They make pH pens that have a spear probes that can be stuck in moist soil to get a reading. Hanna, Bluelab, apera all make ones that are nice. I have a hanna and an apera like this. They can also be used to read liquid pH so they are versatile. The cheap ones that have two long probes suck and readings are garbage so don't waste your money on those.

naw, insects don't eat in such patterns.

Look real close at the leaves. they are detereriating in the same spot before the holes form.

After a second look, you are probably right. I have had catapiller and Japanese beetle damage that looked similar.

It's only on 2 fan leaves throughout the entire plant.. and I've been watching it for 4 days now with no signs of spreading. Just wanna make sure something isn't horribly wrong.. it just seems wierd.

it is an old bottom leaf lol. What am I looking for under the magnifying glass?That looks like an old bottom leaf. Chop it off and take a close look at the underpart with a magnifying glass. Make sure no other leaves have this problem. Look every day to see if it returns on other parts. Don't sweat it
