Nope. Animals can express loss.Nope. No soul. What you experience in their reaction is a response to stimuli. Hold one up to a mirror. It won't recognise itself. No spirit, soul.
Ive been around animals since a child. From cattle to horses, cats, birds, dogs, goats and pigs. I've cut the horns and balls off feeder steers. I've clipped the tusk off piglets. I've bottle fed a calf.
I know you love your animals. You can tell. But know they're only faithful to the next meal. No matter how cuddly. I didn't make the rules.
Those cats will be fine and they'll have a long life by your hands. You'll fulfill one of the purposes of having a soul. Compassion. Something a cat doesn't have because its a predator.
