Sorry to hear about your partners condition. Just wanted to say, giving Dextroamphetamine is one of the standard options for treating narcolepsy. I don't think you'd fare much better in the US health care system, if anything it would cost you more, require you to pick up scripts due to its drug scheduling (which is simply fucking stupid, what's more secure, a piece of paper or a electronic transfer? ) on top of that deal with stupid pharmacist if they carry it or not... sorry for the rant, but our system sucks dick and I just want you to know that your partner would be scripted the same thing or a close cousin.

Eta don't romanticized our system. Every system has flaws but ours really sucks. Every analysis puts the NHS in better outcomes, cost, and effectiveness ahead of our shitty for profit racket.
