led floods don't have any penetration, i've used them, they're ok for veg, they aren't any better than cfls for flowering, and they cost more
Well I was under the impression he still had one stretched seedling in front of a window so I wasn't trying to give flowering advice just a cheap light to add...
the penetration isn't the best I know but the wattage/ lumens/ to heat ratio is what really appeals to me for my seedling starter box plus I can get them closer then I can with cfl. I think I got a 3 pack for 10$.. I have a 23w cfl in there just because I had an extra socket without a bulb but then i have a bunch of 10w led bulbs and it does well in my set up.

Not trying to spread the one true gospel lol my idea isn't any better than anyone else's... just helping to throw out more options to our new friend lol

sure man, i don't ever claim to have "the answer", just try to tell people what i've experienced myself, maybe you got a better brand of led flood than i had available to me

Lol probably not I went with the cheapest they had. Just needed something decent for seedlings and they seem to be working great. Heat is easy to maintain and there is no stretching.
Currently doing a lot of reading on the next upgrade. Would love to go with cobs but the up front cost is a little high right meow.

if your seedling likes miracle grow she'll grow in cement, in space, with no water even, likely
This guy is right...seedlings and MG do not go well together. UNLESS you have the organic MG that does not 'feed for xxx months'.

With a 60$ budget.

Get small bag of fox farm ocean Forrest
Small bottle of organic flowering nutes(I suggest Fox farm but there are others)
Spend the rest on lights. I would use CFLs.

I've got mine under a single 5000k cfl if that helps. I probably could do with another 2-3 bulbs. But I'm limited on space with where it is.

I second the notion of going out to find a couple splitters. Pair those with anything from 4000k to 6500k for vegetation. And maybe throw in one globe of 2700k to 3000k for the red spectra.
