This is why gifts for children are important. It would have been nice to receive a gift that was an actual gift, not a lame attempt at a temporary apology, until the next beating.

I like to buy my kids gifts of love, we say "I love you" all the time around here. I never felt loved as a kid and it was important to me that my kids feel LOVED.

I also believe gifts are very important. Like you said, I also believe it is very important to say I love you because you can give gifts all day long and not really love someone.

I'm glad you let your kids feel loved. I'm sure there are a lot of people who don't have a loving relationship with their parents. That saddens me deeply.

I’ve got a great new idea for Christmas this year. Spend a lot of money on presents for people and rack up some sweet debt for the new year. if you are like most people your probably thinking...what’s new about that? the answer is Nothing. It is ridiculous how much we americans (sorry if your not American- just the audience I'm more familiar with) spend each year on Christmas. I have friends who don’t have money for anything extra, but when its Christmas time, they spend hundreds if not thousands on gifts for their kids. Their room is filled with toys from Christmas pasts that they don’t use anymore. This is an unnecessary cycle. Toys are great for kids for a couple of days, but they get tired of them. Heres an idea don’t buy useless toys for your kids. By them something useful. . . something they can use for a long time. If you have so much money that you do need to spend some, spend it on a good charitable organization, or buy some more efficient light bulbs. Some people will spend spend spend. If they have it to spend I guess thats good for the economy, but if not just save. Some people will be completely broke then go buy a video game system for the kids to enjoy.

’m soooo tired of video games. We wonder why there are so many overweight children, but we drive to the fast food place closest to home, sit in the drive-thru get their food, and deliver it to them in front of the tv while they can’t get their fat a’s out from in front of the x-box live. Okay, in our society today some might consider it completely inhumane to not let your kids play video games, but come on; at least put a time limit on it. Make them go outside and burn some calories, feed them some good home-cooked meals, and maybe they won’t grow up looking like the marshmallow man.

Another thing about this time of the year that gets me going is those stinkin new years resolutions. Screw those. If you want to get something done, just do it. Unless its get out of debt from Christmas, and if thats the case just don’t get there in the first place. Don’t designate a time of the year to get stuff done. If you want to lose weight its a mental thing. Use some will power. Get off the couch, where you are watching another crap cable show with bad acting or hyperreali-t-v as I call it, guys thats not REALly reality. and go exercising. Jog around the block a few times at first. IF you can’t do that. Try walking. Its actually great for you. Our bodies are designed for movement. Try riding a bike to work some pretty day. Its very rewarding and it saves gas, and the environment.

Another thing. Seriously guys, isn’t it a moral responsibility to be kind to mother Earth? Recycle when you can. There are places to do it. You might not get money for it, and you might have to go a few miles out of your way, but it will be rewarding. And when the planet has gone to crap, you can tell your grandkids well, I’m sorry there were a bunch of morons living on this planet before you were born who completely destroyed it, but I did my job of trying to help. Really think about this please. There are many things you can do to help. I’m not asking you to be radical and put go green stickers on your new hybrid cars or anything, you could, but at least try to conserve fuel don’t drive some car that gets 6 miles to the gallon.

That leads me to the next point. Don’t drive those gigantic vehicles that get six miles to the gallon just because it looks cool. It looks douche. Every time I see some tank-like vehicle rolling down the road with two people in it probably going to the store a few blocks from their house all I can think is that these people are not really thinking at all. Think about it. I guess if conspicuous consumption is what you have to do to feel good about yourself then waste your money..... thats great. Gas is low right now, but still drive cars with good gas mileage. You will have more money to spend on more meaningful stuff. Don’t spend it at McDonalds for your kids while they are playing video games. Or I’ll find you and kick you in the shin. Just kidding kinda.

Hope I didn't step on too many toes. I've just been thinking a lot about this time of the year and wanted to get that off my chest. :peace::joint::peace:

its all a business bro. Everything, every second we breathe, its a business.
