I just planted 2 days ago

i read up and this is my first time by the way. I have used miracle grow. But instead of letting the seeds germinate using paper towels i went to proceed in planting the seeds in the soil. So now i wonder how long it may take for me to see some growth.

You should germinate the seed in a dark area inside a damp towel (24 - 48 hours)
Then put the sprout faced down and not use nutrient for at least 2 weeks. especially not miracle grow.

oh and socaliboy, i love your avatar, i cant stop staring! Ill add some rep for you ^^

yep sounds like you may have wanted to do a bit more reading first man. all good though, we all make mistakes. give it 3-5 days, keep it wet. if nothing shows up, dig into your soil very lightly and check for any kind of growth that may be coming, if still nothing, toss em.

i would suggest doing as much reading as you can before you get goin again. best thing to do is make a plan first (or at least have some ideas rollin around already). i spent months browsing this forum and reading all i could before i planted my 3 babies (see journal in sig), and even then i wasnt prepared, and have learned learned TONS of stuff that i will be doing differently and watching out for on my next run. i forsee it being this way for many grows to come....

I don't use fertilizer of ANY sort until at LEAST day 14 from seed and thats only 1/8 - 1/4 strength IF the plants are healthy enough at that point. Usually your soil will contain enough NPK in it to sustain the plant from germination through seedling to the beginning of the vegative state without adding anything additional. Good luck!

Ok I just checked on what seeds I could find, and they've all turned this semi transparent yellowish color, and a few are quite enlarged. Is this a positive sign or no?

You mean you used MG Potting Mix, right, not the nutes? You should be fine, if you are keeping them moist and warm, should see your baby within 4-7 days.

I don't know honestly, I've never dug them up while they should have been germing. Growing takes patience! lol
