Gardening and studying philosophy are both gret and not mutually exclusinve.... spending time thinking while tending the garden is not so bad... I can putter away hours while working in the garden....
 
i watch birds. i go places were different kinds of birds go and i check them out and take pictures. then i go home and try to identify the birds. sounds a little dorky and boring but it's my pace and i think birds are pretty cool. i also focus on attracting as wide a variety of birds to my backyard as possible. i live in a cramped urban neigborhood so when a new bird comes i get all excited. i've actually attracted the attention of some awesome hawks because of all the extra birds. i wish i could post the pics but they have my licience plate in them and i'm not sure how to truly remove it. if i sound like a dork birding is not for you lol.

edit: i found one that i can crop so i can post the hawk. bear in mind this thing was 30 feet from the building in a neighborhood with tightly packed 3 deckers (3 floor apartment houses) and few trees. thank god my windows were clean. it's a broad-winged hawk if anyone cares.

Growing weed is more then a hobby for me, it's a way of life...an art form more or less.
 
i like flight simming, and the whole 'immersion' take on flight simming, where you build realistic cockpits which move around n shit....

i built a 2DOF platform a few years ago from a windsurf mast base, an office chair, and some linear actuators.... it never worked right... there's a lot of programming... its a fun hobby that easily takes more than a few hours from my week....:weed:
 
i got 2 states of mind stoned and asleep. jk but you could try jerking when your not workin or maybe even workin and jerkin, jk but a hobby trry learning something new like magic or car repair or wizardy at hogwarts. also try reading a new book about somethin gyouve always wanted to learn. try and ride a unicycle. rip a phone book inhalf. go backpacking!! backpacking is agreat hobby thats fun in the sun
and a great place to bake !!!! pooop is inside of my ass

Grow weed, homebrew beer or wine, grow veggies, fruits, herbs, bonsais, or even more weed! Disc golf is a cool stoner pastime. WWW.PDGA.COM to find a course near you. Lift weights, long bike rides, canoeing, hiking, kayaking. Endorphin high mixed with weed high is pretty bad-ass.
 
I race pigeons besides growing, when you move out of your apartment, look for a house with garden, it doesnt have to be a big garden, just enough to fit a pigeon loft, and you can start with a couple of pigeons. go to this link, and find the nearest club http://www.pigeon.org/ I guarantee you are going to stay busy with this hobby.
