i need a hydroponics system that use no electricity

Ok I got small space
And I'm I'm going to be growing in 2 litter half cut plastic bottles I read on the wick system
But I don't see any potential on this or I'm I misunderstnating?
Is there another system that's similar to wick no airpumps?

how about setting up a tank/reservoir with a dripper and let gravity do the work? kinda like when you siphon fuel out of a car

Similar to what saerimner said, gravity fed ebb&flow would be a good set up. Twice a day, lift the reservoir above the flood table and let it drain and sit for about 15 mins then lower it back on the ground

if you do decide to go with the dripper system may i suggest you have a dripper in each pot and you can do a continous drip feed, bigger gauge/ size dripper nozzles will flow at a faster rate, smaller nozzles for slower

I hand watered my hempy sog grow for about a year before I setup my automatic drip irrigation system for it.

Hempy is the best Hydroponics if you do not want to use electricity. You only have to water every 2 days with two liter hempys when they are full size. Less when they are small.

Now that I have drip irrigation my pump only comes on for 8 mins a day to deliver nutes to my buckets.

WHAT???? Dude if the shit hits the fan you will have a little more to worry about than if your weed is growing slowly. If there is no electricity you will just have to grow outside huh?

Nah I meant like a passive system vs a dwc system
Under the same light conditions
Will ethir system over grow the other ?

I use coco. It is a mostly inert media used in a hydroponic method. You top feed and drain to waste. Pretty much just like you would with soil, except you can water/feed daily, and the growth rates are more hydroponic.

Top feed Drain to waste. That's what you're looking for. You'll need to be growing in some medium and watering by hand. Coco, Peat, Rockwool pebbles, perlite, etc. Anything that can hold moisture long enough to let you sleep and go to work and not be too much of a hassle is going to work.

Hey man so you think using a plastic bottle rock wool and pebles its should be good.
I wana see where I end up at.

This is far from ideal but if your line going to your holding tank is say 1/4" but the line from holding tank back to plant is say 1/4" then theoretically the pressure will force the nutes back into the plant

Ok so I came up with this idea see what happends

So the wicj systems says that you need some type of cotton or whatever fibric to provide the developing. roots with nurtients from the bottom of the resovoir well as soon as your roots grow there's no point or room to have your fabric hanging so soon or later you will end up with a passive system right?
So
I took the airstone off my dwc 2litter system and made it a passive wick system with no wick for now what ima do is take the airstone off when is flowering and stick the airstone when the lights are on
Hopelly that doesn't bring algea o well
