i need good advice

i am using cfls right now and my question is would i help or not if i added a mv light? i know no one uses them any more but people used to so are they better than cfl or could they be use with each other beneficialy???

what the fuck? what helped? is that as confusing to you as it is me or am i missing something? I dont know much about that helping but i cant see where it would hurt so go for it, some extra cfls would probably be more beneficial though.

Mercury vapor gives off a lot of heat so if u can keep the temps down it can work.

you could just use a MH light. i bought one from a local hydro store, its only a 250watt but it will work for a 2x2 space which is all i need for one plant only $200 bucks with the bulb and everything. but you could get a 400watt for.....hold on im looking in the sales guide they gave me.....$225 bucks. that covers a four by four area then you wrap up some mylar, kick on the fans and wait a month. lol

Yeah if your going to make a bigger area your either going to want those huge cfl grow bulbs, or a HPS. When you start using alot of the smaller cfls(23-40w) it does actually just get cheaper to buy a hps. A 250w Mh runs about 30000lumens, where 12 23w cfls run @a total of 276w and only produce 19.8k lumens.....see wat i'm saying, i recently made the switch myself and the heat was easily controllable. And 400w set ups only run for like another $100 and are good for a 3x3area(do a scrog).

With using a hps for the grow you can veg and flower(use a mh for veg if u make a veg box), the hps will produce much denser and bigger nugs then cfls, you'll really notice and love the difference.

Mh + hps = big bud ballin'
