I need help...overgrown plant

If it's still in veg, just aggressively top it. If it's in flower, as mentioned above, supercrop it.

Supercropping is just crimping and rolling the stalk between your fingers to weaken it, then push it over.

It won't hurt the plant if you do it right. The top will turn and grow upwards again. Worst case, you lose the top, but it is already a problem.

I grow in a tent and sometimes I end up with plants that stretch too high, so I super crop the tops and even out the canopy to a better level.

Yes, the plant still in veg.

look up lst, low stress training. look up super cropping, which as greg said above, is basically crushing a stem between your fingers to get it to fold over. the plant will repair it, but it will stay bent over. there are lots of ways to keep an even canopy, you just have to learn them.

Okay, folks here is the follow-up:

I end-up super cropping the plant using the tomato cage, some branches did lst using the cage and then hst on some other branches like the cola.

Took nine clones out of the lower branches.

Now, I will give it about a week to heal and make some knuckles, and then to flower this baby. I will post updates in a week.

Thanks everyone for the help!

take a shit load of clones .... SOG style and get a mother ship :D she's a beauty ..... but if not cut in half and flipped to flower like it is she gonna double in size at minimum
I actually saw the grow boss on youtube do this, I want to try scrog but I was not ready for yet so went with super cropping and bending.

Not sure if you were saying you saw growboss do a SOG, but you yourself wanted to ScrOG or if you knew there’s a difference between the two methods? There’s a lot of jargon in the hobby, to put it mildly, so I don’t want to assume very much. Cheers!

I will link up the video, in the meantime. You do anything with the trim? I have only been using the one generated or left there during flowering nothing before that.

I have searched but I find mix answers.

Please dont link any grow boss videos here.

My opinion is to take the whole top off about three nodes down from where you bent it. Then you'll get an even canopy and more tops will pop up.

you don't get sugar leaves preflower, sugar leaves are the small leaves that grow out of buds. any leaves you get before that are garbage, you can throw them away

I might be saying it wrong. I am referring to the sugar leaves I remove pre-flower, no resin on them. Do they are good for anything? It seems the bubble hash is to extract the resin, I am messing it up?
You're going to get different opinion. I throw away everything beside leaves I trim directly from bud, keeping nothing with a stem, but others, as I say do differently
-good luck
