Glad you learned something.

It is good for your learning but hurts people heart who knows exactly how much suffering the plant is doing...

really? hurts your heart? it's a fricking plant that most here grow in mini factories that pervert and subvert nature, to produce a plant tailored to our whims. Then chop it down, hang it upside down to dry, and then set it on fire so we can inhale it's essence. Yet this experiment with bag schawg most would not stoop to crack hurts your heart?

83 degrees sound hot to me. I try to keep my girls cool in the 68 to 73 degree range. Get an ac cooled reflector and a strong exhaust fan. I have a 1000w with plants 16 to 18" from light. I'm on my first grow too.

I believe the things you tested arent going to be the problems you come across when you are trying to do it right. Why not learn from trying to do it right, than causing problems that you know you are causing(easier to fix), than the problems that are going to arise in your next grow.

Foilar spray five minutes before the light goes off my experience has been if you spray while light is on plants dont like it. Which i think is true in nature too. My outdoor girls get a natural foilar dew mist at night. It evaporates before the sun is to warm.

Also OG kush might not react the same as the strain you are growing now. Good Luck

Im growing herijuana, lost coast OG, tangerine dream, laughing buddha, BCN diesel, Big Band, and a seed mix from HG Three weeks into flowering and WOW so pretty

record was 5in from 600w bulb(ballast set to super lumens) for 2 1/2 hours before temp hit above 83 degrees at tops.
doing this cause i read this ...The ideal amount is somewhere around 7000-10,000 lumens/sqft, and as long as the plants do not burn, as much light can be used as you want.
Both excessively high and low temperatures can slow marijuana's rate of metabolism and growth. The plants function best in moderate temperatures - between 60 and 85 degrees. As more light is made available, the ideal temperature for normal plant growth increases.

has to be the most helpful info i got from this thread
dont use pesticides, get azomax or azatrol, its a neem extracted hardcore organic concentrate, you spray and root drence once a week, no smell and no bugs at all. it kills everything and prevents reproduction, dries eggs and kills larva on contact. does not harm your plants in any way

hope your not planning on smoking the herb you sprayed with pesticides. I use neem oil all organic. I foilar spray and feed the soil with it no pest here. 021.jpgLaughing Buddha at 3 weeks

you need serious help, and i mean mental help as it is quite obvious that you need help with growing. I don't even know where to begin after reading this whole post, so I won't. Just get evaluated by a very well respected doctor. Are you seriously suggesting that you might have discovered a new way to manipulate plant growth? WOW... All you did was top the plant earlier than you were supposed to, causing it to look different then most topped plants. Research for 5 seconds and you will find that you aren't supposed to top the plant until after the third node at the earliest. Oh and just out of curiosity, how old are you??

pretty strong statement for someone that cant read wtf the threads name is.

Ohh, I forgot not everybody set ups a nice place and grow for plants.. some people peddle garbage from mass produce little factories. Putting little or no care in it. Nothing is wrong with producing anything but try do it to the best of your ability. Do not make it cheap and cheesy.

Just because it is a plant does not mean you do not respect it for what it gives to you as a grower. Growers who do not put their heart and soul into their plants will never be able to read or see the changes that happen in the plant. That why some people need to buy to respect it.

People tend to corrupt good things with just taking them for granted. Understanding experimentation is one thing which is sacrificing a few for a greater good. But flat out disrespect is disgraceful, if you really love the plant then it is not just a lifeless thing. Dedicating time to learn or do something "proper" is a form of respect.

@texas420, keep learning...we all learn by experimentation....just some people do not care about the results or the journey. Looking forward to see you improve each time on your grow.

anyone else have a grow room or know someone with one that can keep their temps below 82-83 degress and a 600w bulb 7 to 8 inches away from tops?i would like to compare room size and layouts

TexasTim you are either a genius or a lead-paint-chip-eating failure. The fact that I can't tell means you deserve a round of applause or to be sterilized. GG.
