I have just recently moved into my own 1 bdrm apt... I love weed a lot...i am gonna grow to just try my hand at it... i am not cash cropping.... this will be my own personal stash... i have just enough room in my closet for one or two plants... if i succeed this time i will definitely grow again... i just wanna have the basics at first and work my way up the weed chain...

My close friend got an HPS for around $90 and bought dirt and fertilizer for around $12. His plant turned out nice for a full 12/12 grow. I'll post pics tmrw if you want

these r cfl's. always go off actural watt they will say something like 26w but as bright as a (or replaces a) 100w bulb you only have 26w, which is cool


this is a hood and clamp you can get these from hardwere stores < $10
they dont always come with a light or clamp but you should always get a hood

how would some standard clamp lights do?... might as well try to use what i already have...

Ok so I was just playing around and found some good organic soil and I found a seed. I put it in a planter and saw what happened..... It popped up. Know I don't know what to do. I found two clamp lights and two 125w spiral CFLs and I was just curious if they would help it grow?? I want to do it inside my closet.

cool shit bro, this site is gr8 for gathering info
2 plants will be fine i would vegg for 2 weeks ( keep the light on for either 24hr a day or put them on 18/6 which is 18on 6 off) then flip the lights to 12/12, tell finish which will sex them (let you know if they r male (throw away, they will start to grow ball clusters like grapes) or FEMALE (the only kind we want to keep, they will grow hairs) and grow buds
this step shoud take 8-10wks if you have indica strain, 12-15 wks if you have sativa strains

i used to feel the same way
some of us are like family - you'll find that out only thing i can tell you is copy and past as much info as you can unless you want to go out and buy books on it because one wrong move can get you banned off here, so try not to get into any back and forth name calling fights just ubsorb the knoledge people have to give about growing this fine urb - a lot of people have hatered beleafs outside aswell as inside this weed smoking community

the list i made will grow you a nice plant. a plant will stink like a motherfucker...

ull learn a lot this first grow. i gave you some good starting tips. fox farm products are really good, kinda expensive, well worth it.

the ph drops are essential for indoor growing. you'll quickly get the hang of how to ph the water and nute mix and you'll be able to do it by 'feel'. for a timer, they have grounded mechanical timers at walmart for around 5 bucks, which will light up some CFL's. if you get a larger light, you want a bigger, sturdier timer. the timer's worthless if you have a light leak, so you'll want to make some sort of box, or find a cabinet in your house to move the plant for the dark period (no timer needed!!).....

if you use hydro then a ph pen is needed, with soil you can monitor the soil using a soil ph meter, not efficient, it's better to adjust the ph before putting anything in there...

i cant find it right now but theres a guy that hollowed out an old dresser and made a grow box out of that

you can cfl grow in anything, man.. an old cupboard.. a cardboard box.. shit, I've seen in a pringles can (serious). If you can get 100W cfl, you can have some NICE buds. Feel free to click my links, man. CFL PC grower.. I've yielded an oz.+ out of one harvest from the case. GOOD, too! Anyways.. the chemical air things will effect your taste BADLY. DIY carbon scrub is what you want. I simply use heavy duct tape (aluminum) and tape carbon cutouts from a $14 carbon filter for a stove fan over the fan holes in the pc. It works GREAT. Having smelled my plants without the scrub, I can tell you there's a big difference.
