always thought soil needs pH check from time to time too..?but i'm not sure, i'm used to hydroTrue Soil doesn't need PPM or pH measurements. Hydro does
Phosphoric acid to get it down. Potassium silicate to bring it up.i use water and tea, that is why the ph thing keeps me on my feet fighting it,not a super soil jusat one that kelp4less and myself put together, super soil is what it is but in realty in my mind it does help until last of flowering days ,doesnt give nothing but problems till you get to that point, built basic soil and amended to get threw a whole grow with water and tea [i hope ,we will see] with great soil and microbes the soil life should carry threw.
yes it is city water from a aqufor or however you spell it,complete shit full of lime and who nos what else.
trying to figure out what i can put in it to stablize ph ,even lemon juice doesnt stabilize
thats all good but im looking for something to add once and keep it stabilized till i use it all, like i said the lemon juice will bring it down but wont hold longer than 2 daysPhosphoric acid to get it down. Potassium silicate to bring it up.
from the hannah ppm chart goes as follow:Um, not sure if you are being serious or not but OK.
In a perfect world you would like your plants to be getting Zero PPM in their water, correct?
Or, what would be the ideal ppm to put it another way?
Flying Skulls Z7 Enzyme will do just that for you.thats all good but im looking for something to add once and keep it stabilized till i use it all, like i said the lemon juice will bring it down but wont hold longer than 2 days
im by no means saying you are wrong,im saying my water is loaded with shit,i see carolina dream give me some thing to check out,but i got 3 beans in soil and 3 in coco. 2 diffrent feeding schedules and it would be a dream if i had good water.soil doesn't require pH-ing the water. Sounds like you've got a good soil, but something would have been amiss. The microbes and plant determine the pH. Well documented
pH balancing wouldn't harm, though
You definitely should ph your sewage, I mean tap water.were i live ph out of the tap is 8.5 ,ppm is 296 and your telling me not to ph my water ,right. when i first moved here i tried 2 yrs in a roll to veggie garden ,shit just would not grow .i started phing my water and we have veggies and weed,so i dont buy the soil buffers the ph on its on
checked into the stuff you mentioned ,couldnt find any detail on after entering your water if it would effect soil food web,do you have any ideaFlying Skulls Z7 Enzyme will do just that for you.
The lemon juice is your problem.
@old shol4evr : have you tried H3AD's formula for Coco? i did coco in drain to waste for a grow or 2 and my res pH was stable for the whole week before I dumped it. it's based on the Lucas Formula. but you have to use RO water, not tap.checked into the stuff you mentioned ,couldnt find any detail on after entering your water if it would effect soil food web,do you have any idea
It's an enzyme product, I do not think it's will mess with an beneficial's in your soil. I would call the company and see if it is derived from any kind of salts (I really don't think it is, but double check anyways)checked into the stuff you mentioned ,couldnt find any detail on after entering your water if it would effect soil food web,do you have any idea
thanks friend the stuff is expensive but goes a long way ,i dont know though i will talk with them.my problem is you never no day to day what is coming out of tap. dont want to buy ro setup gonna rent this house soon .but to want the same problems when i buy new houseIt's an enzyme product, I do not think it's will mess with an beneficial's in your soil. It does have a sticker shock to it. But a 1/2ml per gallon, like you said it goes a long way. It helps stabilize the ph of my well water for sure.thanks friend the stuff is expensive but goes a long way ,i dont know though i will talk with them.my problem is you never no day to day what is coming out of tap. dont want to buy ro setup gonna rent this house soon .but to want the same problems when i buy new house
