Any of you tried silica?
I have and it seems to help. I got lazy this year but partly because I have a couple small barrels of pot to tide me over. In case of emergency there's two dispensaries within a couple miles and a friend grows many pounds of weed he has trouble getting $50 an oz. for.

Best strain I've found for Mold resistance is AMS (anti mold strain) from Greenhouse Seeds..
A.M.S. (Feminised) by Green House Seed Company Amsterdam (greenhouseseeds.nl)
That just dies in Scotland at 56 where im at lol we need semi autos and luck passion#1 is possible but the nordic lines do better i reccomend viking its not the earliest but its a good smoke plenty of purple phenos and its very mould ressitant i do prefer the green ones myself but there ok for outdoor purple you can get regs of it at seedheaven or nordic genetics mitey mite as well and royal dane are another couple of good ones too some of paniks stuff from realgorillaseeds is good too he makes his seeds for outdoors at lat 51 and was a big time guerilla grower over here

As the outdoor season winds down, I see so many of us had leaf septoria issues, usually causing harvest to be premature. I thought maybe we could gather together in a thread, the approaches that we used that seemed to help. This was the 3rd time out of 5 grows that septoria was a major issue in my outdoor garden. I used a sulfur based spray, that did not contain copper, beginning in early July, and thought I was keeping it at bay, but it came roaring back with a vengeance in early August. Ultimately, strain selection is the best prevention, and I had 2 strains from Lyme Rising Farms that dealt with the septoria really well, and I was able to finish both plants. Those strains were called Bashear and Salvisa. Despite being next to a heavily infested plant, the Salvisa did not get any leaf spotting. I am aware that it could have just been those 2 phenotypes that did well, and other phenos of Bashear and Salvisa may not fare so well. We'll see next year! The pic is of Salvisa.View attachment 5335700
how is salvisa doing for you this year, assuming you are running it? Kinda rough septoria summer again in the northeast. ANy other septoria resistant strains working for you? Are other Lyme Rising strains like salvisa? My Tropicanna Poison from Sweet Seeds has zero septoria, my pineapple muffin girls from humboldt are pretty good too, especially given they have so much inner growth and leaf overlapping and touching, which I;m larfiing out tomorrow, not because septoria is there, but moreso to lolli[op them form better tops and to prevent disease from better air flow as the colder, damp fall comes fast.

The Salvisa and the 2 Salvisa crosses from last year are doing well, despite plants next to them that are way more impacted by the disease. Cautiously optimistic about things so far.
