if i had a med grow could i call fox farm company and ask them weed questions?

hey we live in america you can call them and ask them anything you want. they dont have to answer but you can ask. right?

Fox Farms will not answer questions about growing mj. They don't want to have any overt association with mj. Operation Green Merchant nearly put hydro shops and hydroponic nutrient companies out of business in the late 80's because most of them weren't afraid to associate themselves with growing. Now after years of fighting with the federal government the hydro industry is thriving again but they have had to distance themselves from marijuana growing. Growing weed is still illegal at the federal level and all of these companies are still scared to death of saying anything about growing weed because they don't want a repeat of Operation Green Merchant. If you are having trouble with the nutes you can tell them they are for fast growing flowering plants and vegetables like tomatoes. They are very similar in their requirements. Also you definitely need to bring the pH up with Tiger Bloom. It is very acidic and will jack up the pH of your growing medium. Hope this helps.

They will NOT answer you. They will give you the simple response"We are not federally mandated to discuss prop 215."Then they will ignore you if you do it through email.

You watch too much TV. If I tell my friend how to grow and he gets busted for it we don't get wrapped up in some RICO case. I wasn't growing and as long as they can't put me in the grow room or tie my money to it, I'm just fine. I can tell anybody, anything that I want. I can write it down, I can publish it and print it. Doesn't make me an accessory to any crime, doesn't make me a criminal in any way. Certainly doesn't get me wrapped up in a RICO. They have certainly bastardized RICO and it's widely misused, but this isn't one of those examples. They aren't going to answer you because it's costly. It's costly to have the feds harrass you and it's not worth the hassles when all they really need to do is not discuss MJ. Be more vague, and you'll get the answers you seek. Or just find a different Nutrient MFG that seems to work better for what you've got.

I am not surprised. I talked to the owner of my local hydro shop and they told me that it's because of operation green merchant. The federal govt. went around to most of the hydro shops and confiscated all of their merchandise, customer lists, etc. They also went after companies who were making fertilizers geared toward weed. It may be safer to associate yourself with weed these days but most companies aren't going to do it. If you go to Canna's website or even AN they don't make any mention of growing weed. We all know what's up so they don't really need to advertise what their nutes are for. As for books about growing. I can't answer why they don't get into trouble but all of them put a little disclaimer in their books saing they don't condone anyone doing anything illegal. All we can hope for is a future without fear and an end to prohibition.To put this to rest, I ended up calling them and they said they where unable to give any information.

Doc111 is right, giving advice on marijuana growing is conspiracy to manufacture, penalty of 10 years or more. Anyone can say they have a medical exemption over the phone and really be a DEA agent fishing for an easy bust. Most nutrient company employees won't be eager to take a 10 year sentence just so they help out a person who can't figure out for himself how to add fertilizer to a plant. You may not have noticed but Cannabis horticulture is quite a well researched subject and it's not at all difficult to read up on it. That way you don't have to call somebody and irritate them with a bunch of inane questions that THEY will have to do the research to find the answer for just because you were too lazy to do it yourself. In short, don't be a putz, use google. It ain't that difficult.

i cant get a straight answer about the best scheduling of fox farm to a mj plant anywhere though dude. ive tried google and here people either say stick to the exact schedule or they say nobody sticks to the exact schedule. im trying to find the perfect recipe (expecially tiger bloom time after a month vegg because that switch from grow big was when i saw yellowing) i was all green until then. when i switched back to grow big and the soluables it was better

I do follow pretty much follow the schedule... Grow big wk2 I use 1tsp wk2 I use 2tps wk3 3tsp. I use one tsp of tiger bloom /gallon untill week9
then I bump up to full stregnth, I do the same thing with big bloom from wk 10-12, and cha-ching I stop
using all together in wks 11&12
Dunno that's how I been doing it for a few, and it works nicely.(for soil)

If you follow their schedule you should be fine. Tiger Bloom doesn't have enough N for the plants after the first couple of weeks of flower. That's why the schedule says to add Grow Big during weeks 3 & 4 I believe of flowering. If you are gettting N deficiency in your grows you know you need to stick to higher N fertilizers a little longer next time. Eventually the plant won't be so hungry for N so if you feed it too much the plants get the "claw" and go really dark green and don't product great buds. So be careful and just try to get it right by doing grow after grow until you have your feeding schedule down.

Agreed. I use the feed schedule as a guideline and it takes a while to get a feel for it but it's working pretty good for me.

I severely doubt that they will want to help, and sadly there really isn't anyone who can tell you how to grow over the phone. Its an experience thing.
AN is a canadian company, they can say/do whatever they want with their products.
Legal manufacture of cannabis and cannabis products on the state level is becoming more or less federally accepted whether or not it is legal. Their own tests negate everything they say on the subject for the most part.
Even with the status of cannabis being more and more accepted, it would still not be a worthwhile endeavor for the soil company you are planting in to advise you how to grow better weed in their product.
You probably wouldn't give them your information. They probably wouldn't want to verify it. Over all the company probably doesn't give a shit, and it is just another liability to worry about. If I were corporate foxfarms I would probably just hang up at the mention of our favorite plant.
