If they come for your guns, do you have a responsibility to fight?

All weapons have evolved to be more efficient killing machines.
a handgun with 10 rounds seems like all one should ever need for self defense.

unless you consistently have a dozen ninjas trying to take you out. and i hear that's exceedingly rare.

and of course you get all your hunting rifles too.

why do you need something that can fire 100 rounds without reloading? do you suck that bad at aiming? are you constantly under attack by 5 dozen armed men?

Have you ever tried to shoot an incoming nuke? I think I will need my 100 rd. mags for that LOL. But I agree, high capacity mags should be your target, not a thriving gun industry in our perilous economy. Oh yeah and Ninjas not so much but the samurai around here are unbearable.

The government already attempted martial law with Ruby Ridge and Waco. Those times government had to pay restitution. Next time we all might take it up the ass. Throw out,the 2nd and bend over!

I'd have to sit on my porch and watch those that trusted enough to red light themselves as gun owners lose what they have. If this was the country that responsibility was created in yes fight. This however is not the case when government changes so do responsibilities. The problem is extremists and ignorance. I believe most people believe in all our rights a little and few believe in some too much. For those of you that believe it's your right to plan for protection from war I say your a poor planner. No we don't want your guns we want your military weapons

I understand I am just trying to illustrate the difficulty in classifying a weapon as military grade. The military uses a variety of weapons that are for war time purposes. The military commonly uses a beretta hand gun (15 round clip), i feel this is an example of a weapon that civilians should be able to purchase. The military also uses a bolt action remington model 700 that should be allowed. A california AR15 only accepts special mags with a limited ammo count(I think ten round clips), these should be allowed. Some portions of the militay still use 1911 Colt 45 pistols, these should be allowed. So just a classification of "military weapons" is just a little to broad.

You want our military weapons? I have none, all mine are just semi auto firearms, nothing special there, move along now.

name one person in power proposing "give us all your guns".

you're being irrational, delusional, and paranoid. the mark of most gun nuts.
Some of us aren't gun nuts...we're 'rights' nuts.

Kind of like the hippies...kinda...

Mark 19 would be sick, now thats a real military weapon. Just think of the looks you would get with that mounted in the back of a truck.
I seen a video few years back about a guy at some political rally with a ar 15. Everyone was freaking out. I'm guessing a mark 19 on the back of truck, people would pass out lol.

I have had the opportunity of seeing a mark 19 in action, slinging 40mm grenades, there was a lot of damage.

Top an M 60? That is nice, like 10 k for semi auto?
Na, it's a M-249 or SAW. Squad automatic weapon. I think the 60 is gone now, maybe a few guard units have them. We had 240 bravo which is pretty much the same as 60, both shoot 7.62. That 249 is a .223

M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) Shoots the same round as the M-16 (5.56mm NATO) can be belt fed or fed by the same magazine a m-16 (AR) uses.
Ahhhh. I think I read this is more commonly used than the m 60 for suppresive fire now, because of reasons you stated.
