I Love All Animals. I Would Love To See Your Boxers

I Like To Keep My Humidity Around 40% And My Tent Temp I Like Between 76-82 That's In Flower Now In Veg Both Your Humidity And Temps Will Be Slightly Higher :weed:
Thank you, when I get on my own computer I will post you some pictures, I am on my husbands and I do not think there are any on here!!!8)

I am running 4 3590's @ 2.1a and my space gets 4-6 degrees above ambient
and what is that yielding you? what does that leave you for pas watts?

I am new to these COB's and Very interested in completing my first build.
I am unemployed right now so funds are tight, but I need to start my medicinal grow as I cant afford to buy from a LP.
my prescription is for only 3 grams a day despite my current usage, this will allow me for 15 plants.

I believe with HID the number to match the sun was 1000w
but these cobs are now more efficient, so what par output would match the output of an HID?

Would you guys consider buying this kit for the Price V.S. D.I.Y

http://timbergrowlights.com/250-watt-cree-cxb3590-5-cob-kit-meanwell-hlg-power-supply-free-shipping/

and if D.I.Y. - would these potential configurations seam to be correct?
and what would be better suited to my application?

4 cbx3590's per HLG 185h c1400 - 56% efficient - 200w a bar-110par a bar- (x2) 400w a set - 224 par a set?
5 cbx3590's per HLG 240h c1400 - 56% efficient - 250w a bar -140par a bar- (x2) 500w a set - 280 par a set?
6 cbx3690's per HLG 240h c1050 - 61% efficient - 210w a bar- 128par a bar- (x2) 420w a set - 256 par a set?

those lights net me 22grams per sqft
I run in a diy grow closet that is 11.5sqft
the fixture runs at 350watts from the wall at 2.1a/2100ma
it is delevering 150 par watts = to a 600w hps
depending on your space I would go with the most cobs you can
IMO .....effeciency isnt everything
see people talk about effeciency but the problem is the softer you run the lights....the less intense.....the less intense=shallow canopy penetration.....thats why I opted for 2.1a @ 50% effeciency as opposed to say 1.4 or 1.05 or whatever...1.75 is a better option......sure you can run them closer and there is less heat dissapation but then to me they are a really expensive fluorescent fixture
but again this is just my opinion
My advice.....get advice from as many people as you can and then run some statistics to see the average answer....which in all probability will give you the best outcome

Thanks airwalker. I might pick some up. I'd rather have lenses on mine, than the reflectors. Correction thanks, wasn't thinking while I was cruising at 90

yeah they are 80degree lenses....
my light is actually 2 Tasty 2T-2100's built into a frame....

I am eventually going to build a new frame and get 2 more 3590's and run them passive on pin sinks each connected to one of the drivers
for a total of 6 @2.1a
I think that should do the trick in pushing the limits of this 2.5'x4.5' space

I had lenses, thus being in a box, and liked the spread of the angelina reflectors much much more.

4 @ 2100mA in 11 (ish) sq ft is plenty Imo. But of course 6 wouldn't hurt.

yeah I really wanna get that space blasting....trying to get somewhere between a 600 and 1k with intensity and ppf......
I believe I will teeter just at the edge of maxing out photon absorption by our beloved plants....all while keeping canopy temp at a respectable level

well, How would you expect 8 CXB3590's (In 2 bars of 4) Ran by a HLG320H-1050b
152v-305v 311w

what efficiency would that be with 38drivewatts(36x1.05) @cob. x8 in a 2 bar
and then to calculate the effective par watt's -
and then; Is This how you would run 8 CXB3590's?

or would it be better it have kept it simple and ran these 8 again with the 185's
and 1050ma with the 320? or 1400ma with the 185's?

a driver a bar?
4 cobs a bar?
I'm wanting to start with at least 2 passive heat-sink bars
this is my first set up....

You're actually a lot closer to 290-300watts. FV is lower at currents under 2800mA. That's a great way to run them. You could honestly run 9 on that driver. Which is just fuckin nuts Considering 6-7 months ago you could barely run 5 at 1050 on an hlg-185. But I personally like a much higher amperage to run my cobs. More lumens Gained for a lot less efficiency lost.

is that your first run on the strain?just wondering because the math comes in very low compared to 600 hps, which would be less than 1/2 gram per watt. i do want to try making fixture or 2 at higher currents like 1750 or 2100 when and if i can get my hands on some larger pin sinks.

what are you currently running your cob's at ?ma 1400 1750 2100? 2100?
I'm looking to grow good hash plant as that seams to be what works the best for me right now and it is rarely available from any LP's

the 1400 would run 6 @36v or 3@72v voltage range - 114v-229v
the 1750 would run 4or5 @36v or 2@72v 91v-183v
the2100 would run 4 @36v or 2@72v 76v-152v

I run 8. 4 per hlg240-1750. That's all it can handle. Not 5.
