Hey guys I got about a 4x4 space to work with and im thinking LEDs any brand recommendations? I was also thinking of 2 90w ufos would any recommmend that for 2 plants?

I'm interested in purchasing some LED Lighting for a tent I'm looking to purchase that will hold 4 plants with space. I'm currently on my first home grow using a MH / HPS Digital Ballast light set. With the increase in my budget I'd like to add a second tent with LED lighting and see how it goes. What are your suggestions???

Hey Everybody, Hope everyones is good. I have a 5x5x7 tent and wondering what led(s) would be the best bang for my buck. I really only intend to flower in this tent. Ive been looking at the blackstar led but I'm really not sure. Any advice from experienced user will be greatly appreciated.

Gypsywoman13 here baring my heart ...newbie to growing in general, but plan to change that up as soon as i get myself an LED light, but would like some advice on autoflowering plants and LED lights...just growing a handful of plants in pots, with some Fox Farm soil and nutes..any advice on lights would be helpful.. appreciate any and all remarks that could make a difference in my new venture.
Ah Gypsywoman I See Your Interested In Growing Auto's Under Led's.What Are Your Questions About Auto's?Now As Far As Leds Are Concerned In A Bigger Tent With No Height Restrictions I Would recomend An Area-51 Led And In A Small Cab I Would Go With A Hans Panel.I Will Be More Than Happy To Answer Any Questions You May Have

Yes. Tracking overseas isnt usually updated especially if its just standard mail.

3x3x6.5ft grow tent. 3 plants, SCROG, PC fans for ventilation I'm thinking.. Only thing I'm having trouble with is lighting. Originally gonna go with 400w HPS/MH, but now thinking LED. Anyone wanna drop me a suggestion or a link please.

Was in the same spot with a slightly larger tent, was going to get an Apollo 400w HID kit and decided on a couple reasonable Chinese wholesale LED panels instead to compensate for ventilation issues.. Hans panels seem to be preferred by many for small tents if you don't mind putting out the extra $$ for higher quality parts.

I would like to add some extra light to the area i have. I am currently running a 600watt hps I was thinking of mounting a blue/white led panel on the back wall for the extra color spectrums....is this viable? any suggestions thanks.

Brother Arson420 The B/W Panel Is Not Your Best Option For Flowering. If All Your Looking For Is Side Lighting I Would Suggest A Few Blackstar 180's Full Spectrum

3 weeks is ridiculous. You should be receiving it in 1 week. Something is amiss, you should find out why.

Well, Ive done lots of research...and thanks to all the great info on RIU...I've gone LED over the past 6 weeks. I have a 3x3x7 flower room w 9 plants in 3 gal smart pots...1 TaoTronics 240W, a California Light Works 200W Solar Flare (Full Spectrum) AND a CLW 200W Solar Flare Bloom Booster in that tent. I have a 2x4x5 flower tent w 8 plants and 2 G8LED 240 W...is that enough light?

Personally, I would stay away from both.
The Mars II is sketchy at best, with vary varied results, according to the 420 forums, which are censored to always show favorable posts about sponsors.
Those units have shipped with metal shavings in them before, which can cause, toxic fumes, a short circuit, or even a fire.
Buyer beware.
The other one, I wouldn't even consider, as totally generic chinese LED lights don't last very long, and usually don't give very good results.

As for 3W vs. 5W, look at it his way.
3W is a little more efficient electricity wise, and will give you good results, but is becoming yesterdays technology.
5W produces more heat, will give you great results, and is currently the LED standard.
But keep in mind, the tech is always evolving, and changing.
Invest wisely and a good LED light will take care of you for years to come.

I would recommend Area 51, as I've had great success with them myself.
Read through this thread some more though, as every question imaginable has already been answered, so you'll soon find what will work best for your circumstances.
Good luck.

FYI Folks:

If you go Area51 for flowering, I'd recommend the SGS-160 over the XGS-190. The XGS simply doesn't have enough red for dense buds, but it is a superb panel for vegging (up to about 20" of growth).

If you really want to go with the XGS, just get yourself some T5HOs, CFLs, or red LEDs to supplement it. I bet a Hans panel on either side of the XGS would work pretty nicely. Run the XGS on 60w & 130w modes for the first few weeks, then when you flip to 12/12, switch it to 190w mode and add in some additional red-spectrum lighting.

In my current run I'm on track to yield close to a pound from just a single XGS and 400 watts of 2700K T5HO.

DIY is also a GREAT option! If you can put together a piece of IKEA furniture, you can build your own COB LED panel. Make sure to check around this forum for possible DIY ideas before buying an off-the-shelf unit. You'll be surprised how easy DIY panels are, and you can get a lot more light for your money by going that route.

Im not that tech savvy when it comes to building stuff but would love to have a go.. I will still buy a "pro"light but would love to see a DIY side by side in the future
