Wow what size is yours? For the new 600 it's only $900 I didn't ask about the 1200. They are also bigger in length and width now 42x46. Not 100% but I will copy my emails and post
Mine is the spyder 1200. It's on the heavy side and definitely akward to move around. I'm gonna have to buy some chains to hang it up, the adjustable cables they offer kinda rob you of a good 8-12 inches of ceiling height.

Well what I noticed on that site is they tell you NOTHING about the light! All that's posted is corporate propaganda about how great the COB is! No mention of the PPFD of the light, uasable footprint, etc.
Just another ripoff it looks to me!
what you think about the california ss880w

Never asked them about the vyper, and the 600 fits what I need. As far as price that's the email I received

hello,

Im planning a DIY LED panel for a small grow tent (4 sqr ft Secret Jardin). I plan on having 4x Cree CXA3070 3000k and 1x CXA2530 5000k. I've hit a wall when trying to select the appropriate drivers.

I'm going for 1400mA current (less for the 5000k, only need 20-25W for that one), the most wallet friendly option is

Osram OTE 50/220-240/1A4 CS

I'm wondering if this is a decent choice for my setup, one driver per cob, or whether I should spend an additional $5 + shipping for some Mean Well LPC-60-1400 instead, How does going for the lower amperage version affect my setup?

Advice greatly appreciated. Input on what to look for when choosing a power supply for this setup would also be welcomed.

Dr. Lopez and his colleagues are doing some great work in Iowa no doubt.................his ssl 80 730nm r&d didn't make it in to zelion V1 in time.

My experience with a predominantly ssl 80 660nm SPD fixture was around 2 gpw on the second try ==== granted the balancing act(very large container) on the scale showed a +/- 10g fluctuation and the one special girl out of three could make it a fluke. Should give it another go, but my eyes hate the spectra...........will see! pun intended:mrgreen:

Also this forum is ahead of the rest when it comes to cannabis/light tech===== YES efficient cobs are very good with repeated results to back it up.

good luck
wondering what you think about mixing the two, COBs and bloom bars?

Can't hurt IMO:wink:

growers have had great success with just straight cobs(3500k/4000k) in flower and suggest no supplementation is needed. I feel however that 660nm mono addition ATM, is an effective way to increase the fixture's umol/j until proven otherwise..

4000k/660nm + pfr/pr 730nm trigger is still my pick for canna in 2015, 2016? idk........lol

here is my unscientific result/2nd run with the very heavy DR panel if you want to read through all the shit

just upgraded my growing footprint. Need some advice on going led for the flower space. The space in the picture is 9x10' with a center part-ion wall . the flower side is 108"x54" and has 6 screens each @ 27x27". Been kinda staring at the advanced plat 600w x 3 setup. Any suggestions out there?

Whats the consensus on red COB? From what I understand the light is more efficient, but I don't know where one would purchase it. I'm currently planning a light for a 36"x20" (5ft2) tent. I thought i would have one white COB placed directly above each of the two plants, as well as four red COB in a square parameter around each plant. Imagine the 5 on a dominoes above each plant. (2x white, 8x red) --> 200 - 300W or so

Their is no efficient red cob atm, stick with vero/cxa/cxb

I have asked this question on another thread and was never answered, I am new to LED grow lights in general. What is the deal with using a light like the Banshee 216 w from wickedlightstore? I am wondering if this type of style LED light using the standard GU10 pluggable bulbs could be any good? It would seem that being able to change the bulbs etc would awesome, but there must be a reason these types of "fixtures" aren't being mentioned...Can someone tell me if this type of the negatives of this light and why it doesn't work?

I have no idea, but, Try creating a NEW thread like "IS THIS LED BULB WORTH A SHEUT??" and I bet you will get the answers you seek...
good luck
