When you've been partaking da herb for 50 years, there's been a lot of different way to burn the evidence. '70's was our hash days, double moon pie size cakes of blonde were common (at least around my house) and a dab of "gold columbian" now and then that would be so pretty, ya didn't wanna smoke it. There was always a wise ass who'd adjust his weed with some kind of shit...
Glad to be outta that market by growing my own and controlling quality.

I made tea out of stems as well. Then went and played basketball with my buddies.

I was toasted for sure.

Had a chamber pipe. Meh......

Never smoked weed from a hole in the ground though.

In the Tujunga area next to the SFV there is a party spot up on top of this hill we would go to
every once in awhile back in the day (70's) that had a round boulder about 4' in circumference that has
a hole up on top and a hole on the side and you'd pack a bowl up top put your arms around the boulder
someone would light the bowl for you to take a hit from the boulder as your hugging it lol.

I'm surprised I haven't seen it mentioned here yet but we used to do 'album hits' using a double album. One person would hold a double album partially open with the lowest point of the album cover's 'valley' in front of their mouth while another would shotgun a joint (put the lit end in your mouth and blow backwards) towards the recipient through the 'valley' of the album. I'm not sure where the idea came from but we certainly ruined a lot of album covers.

Also recall "chamber pipes," where you would put unsmoked cannabis inside a chamber in the stem of a pipe, then smoke your regular weed so that the smoke would flow through the chamber and leave a residue on the stuff in there. That was supposed to add potency.

Also, putting wine instead of water inside a water pipe or bong was supposed to have some kind of de luxe benefit but I was too broke most of the time and if I had wine I would want to drink it instead of doing a Stoner Science Fair experiment with it.

I did the chamber pipe and wine in the bong but never buried it thankfully. I never had enough weed to do that with.

One thing I miss is papers for $0.25 or even cheaper for the low grade Tops papers. In the 60's they were a dime for a 100 count!!

I use to use a wooden pipe with a huge chamber that held about 1/8. It was shaped a lot like the traditional dug out but with rounder edges. It had two sliders. The smaller slider covered the bowl and the other slid over the chamber. I'd love to find another one but I can't even find a photo. The image below is the closest thing that I could find. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can point me in the direction of another one I'd appreciate it.
