By that rate i should be getting mine in february
They suck. If ILDPH really doesn't get provisional happening before "sometime after January 1, 2018" (which is a pretty wide open estimation, so 2030?) I really hope there's an investigation.
They've already done it when the printers were down and they sent out temporary access letters. There's no excuse for this.

I mailed my application in August 31st. Still waiting. Been a bit anxious about mine since I mailed mine with my medical records for the past year (for veterans who's primary care doctors are through the VA). Guess they have to read through all 100 pages looking for any diagnosis that is on the approved list. I would imagine that's slow their process down a bit.

I mailed everything in on 8.30.2018, my check just cleared last week. Looking at other timelines I’m thinking first week of December for us.

I mean look how long it took for them to pass the opiods act, every decision made by the state government was put off until the last possible day. Thats illinois for you. Slow as hell and corrupt as hell. At this rate they should be letting the doctors authorize temporary cards while we wait for 3 months to get our cards from idph

Also continuing on my fibromyalgia pain while waiting for my card. Yes i could use weed recreationally to help the pain, but there are people like me who are worried about reputations and getting busted. Im only 18 years old, I go to college, I have a scholarship. I dont want any of that to get jeopardized just because im trying to medicate myself so i can actually freaking get out of bed. Thats why im patiently waiting to get this card, so i have proof that it is prescribed to me. It's so funny to me that my family and a majority of my friends would not or do not support me in using marijuana to medicate, yet they think the opioids im prescribed are okay because they're in a pill bottle. It's time for people to wake up and realize that by expanding medical and recreational marijuana will help illinois' economy greatly and will also help reduce deaths from opioids.

New here so don't give the old fart a hard time. Everything was submitted on 9/5 and debit card charged 9/10, not heard squat good or bad yet. Does anyone have any idea how long it will be before the card might be seen.
Mine was chrged 9-13 or 14. We are getting close I think.

OK, I might as well add myself to the list of those "patiently" waiting. Here's my timeline so far:

Submitted online application: 11/05/18
Received email receipt and saw card was charged:11/06/18
Called to ask about provisional approval and confirmed receipt: 11/12/18

Just an FYI, I was told that provisional approval would not go into effect until "sometime after January 1, 2018". I was also told that my application probably wouldn't be processed until Later January, which is consistent with the processing times reported here. The sucky part, I was already charged when I submitted my online application.

I'll update as my story unfolds. lol
My timeline starts 2 days after yours... Looking at all the current timelines, I’m guessing it will be the second week of Feb for us.

When was your application submitted? Did you pay online?
8/24 submitted by mail with check.
10/31 check cashed.
11/26 called idph and was told they started to process mine on 11/13. Also told it could take 90 days or longer from THAT date to receive my card. So their initial 90days is bullshit because their clock doesn’t start until they start processing. They truly are fucking over anyone that needs their medicine. I can walk to my dr get a script for narcotics before I even eat lunch and just OD and not have to wait anymore.

They don’t care they probably hope we all die anyways so they don’t have to lift a finger at work.

They're so full of crap. Who knows what the truth is. If they started processing yours on the 13th they should've been able to tell you that you were approved or they needed more information. Generally approval happens the same day of processing unless they need something.

The 90 days is what it generally takes people from the time IDPH receives it, that's been 70-80 days lately. The old law only gave them 30 days, which they quickly broke. The new law gives them 90 days from application not when they get around to processing it. But our legislature puts no teeth in these deadlines on government only the deadlines on the people, they even expect IDPH to break the 90 day law and allow for a provisional access extension.

Seems we have an answer of how the lame duck staff is going to be running the program until January 14th.

I am hoping so! 67 days for me! Hoping to get my card by mid December! As long as it’s before Christmas, I’ll be happy!! I thought I had some good patience, but I’ve been checking informed mail, and this thread hourly! Ha
