I'm Begining to think mh is way better than hps until the very end!

we can just imagine. Trust me i am not without but w/ some of the great advise i got out of this web u & filthy are real good.:peace:

Thanks for the compliment makes me feel good I might have helped someone out even if a little. You could mic the mh and hps that works very well in flower

ditto. what he said;)
yes I agree that the dual spectrum idea is perhaps ideal.
Haven't seen you in ages fletch.
Hows it goin'?

Doing good I had gotten real sick had broncial infection streph and jaw bone infection so had to do the hospital stay for awhile but getting back to normal slowly now.Glad to be back

I have read so many post from both of u u guys & gals ar gods to me. Taught me so much even though i cant type that well . Thank u both:peace:

More then welcome and now you will contiune to grow and share your knowledge with others and keep it going on and on helping growers full fill there needs themselves safely and in private.Keep growing and sharing.

Wow:o
Yeah I noticed that you were not here for quite a while but did not want to be intrusive and ask about it.

Gosh....that is bad stuff you had. Be careful with that. My neighbour was in the hospital with the same type of condition minus the bone infection.

Its good to know you are doing a lot better.:peace:

Take care.

Night night everyone. :eyesmoke::sleep:

Never tried flowering with my MH... From everything I have read the light spectrum that MH's give off is better for the veg state and HPS's light spectrum is better for flowering.

that is true to a certain degree....the hps is meant to mock the oranger more yellow light of the fall months signalling winter is coming and the plants finish flowering......but that is outdoors, that is nature, that's the sun man.....man never did it as good as mother nature bro....the sun still has the reds, the blues, the sun has it all.....the closest indoor growers get is expanded spectrum bulbs and mixing both metal halide and hps light in a single room, with light movers and shit. but mh is meant to be like summer, the bright sun of the summertime.

my bad, i meant to quote smokertoker on my last post, its late and i've smoked too many bongs. one more then its bed time

Yes this is true BUT the fact is that there are as many oranges as yellows in late summer as are in most of these bulbs.
To start off flowering instantly with taking away almost all blues and greens and adding mainly reds, oranges and yellows isn't refecting what the sun is actually doing.

The reds and oranges gradually come into play just as the daylight hours diminish so i am not all THAT convinced of just switching to hps for flowering.
Its just simplifying it a bit too much.

MH is mainly for healthy vegetative growth, nbo doubt, BUT you can vary this system by the bulbs you use with it.:peace:

Nice topic threads...and yes this is true community:peace:
