I'm Stuck

Ive been growing a plant that i believe is either durban something but not durban poison or country something. im not really sure, i forgot what the guy said so i apologize. the plant was a lil over a foot tall and stretching real bad so i cut the top off and buried quite a bit of the bottom in a new 14" round top pot that is 15 inches tall. so i cut off the shade leaves and im just trying to experiment since it stretched real bad so i dont know if that is good or not. just trying to get some new growth. with the new pot i mixed in potting soil, vermiculite and perlite and threw some blood and bone emal in with it. im sorry this is so long. new leaves are growing but its going really slow. ive been growing for over a month now, maybe close to two. im contimplating if i should throw it outside and see how it does since i cant afford anymore lights. also with the new smaller leaves growing can i just leave it in my back room where sunlight hits it and use no lights and some nutes i got at wal-mart for flowering to see if i can get any little bud? the plants healthy and looks good but just growuing slowly now. no burnt leaves, droopy leaves no weird colors. any suggestions will help. and no i dont test for ph or any of that stuff. i only used 2 floro tubes that are 18" at 40w total. i know its weak but its better to try anything to get a handle on it when i can afford to do better. again i apologize for the long thread. bear with me please. thank-you

you should have not clipped the fan leaves. this is the cause for slow growth. i'd throw it outside.

oh well, you should cut fan leaves really nor should you grow a plant so tall in the first... but oh well, we did the same years ago as well;)

post some pics if you can so that well can have a look, works better since humans are highly visual-fixed creatures;)

^^gone search that one now...

found it, it that stretched one from a few days with all that tin foil around it... you should have topped it rather then to clip off the fan leaves.... how much is left of it and how is your knowledge about taking clones?

if you can get that plant going it will make a fine specimen. you are set-up for a very nice bush. with the 2 main stalks and several side branches. it looks good.

if the first is the clone and the rest are from that plant you should be fine soon again;) that looks like it gonna recover soon. just be easy on the water and no further nutes for now. on the topped on, move the lights close enough so it won't stretch out like it did to begin. that clone won't need much besides been misted frequently till it shows some roots, no nutes for that one.

ok but like i said i dont wanna even bother with using the light set up i have. the clone i tried to pull out of the jiffy pellet and it wont come out so i assume there are some kind of roots there. thanks guys i really appreciate this. i started these plants without ever reading anything before hand so im just trying to get myself a lil bud. green_nobody can you answer any of my questions about the flowering and light situation i stated?
