Immigration will eventually destroy the United States

read that

and this

and an excerpt...

"A 1987 analysis of mitochondrial DNA from 147 people from around the world indicated that their mitochondrial lineages all coalesced in a common ancestor in Africa about 200,000 years ago. The analysis suggested that this reflected the worldwide expansion of modern humans as a new species, replacing rather than mixing with local archaic humans.[18] Later analysis of mitochondrial DNA from neanderthals and from the denisova hominin indicated that those mitochondrial strains had diverged from the living human mitochondrial line long before 200,000 years ago, consistent with lack of interbreeding between early modern and archaic humans.[19][20]"

another excerpt...

"The time range of 40,000—16,500 years ago is a hot source of debate and will be for years to come. The few agreements achieved to date are the origin from Central Asia, with widespread habitation of the Americas during the end of the last glacial period, or more specifically what is known as the late glacial maximum, around 16,000 — 13,000 years before present."

If the American people don't wake up and get the politicians out of office you want have to worry about the immigration problem.

Except for Meryll Streep...she was Out of Africa. I found her very attractive in her day, but I digress.

Yes, if my long ago anthropology study serves me correctly, I'd have to concur with secretweapon, we are all from africa in an evolutionary and ancestor sort of way even if we were born in Maine the Pine Tree state.

I'm fed up with people chiming into a thread who refuse to familiarize themselves with the subject matter being discussed. The issue of racism was addressed in the article that this thread is based on. In fact, if you had read it you would've found that the people who are trying to inject the race card into the immigration debate - people like you, for instance - are themselves the ones who are the racists. Try reading the material before you go making an even bigger fool out of yourself:

Ease up man, just voicing an opinion.

My mother Is Colombian and my father is German. I remember helping my mom in the garden when some of our neighbors were walking by and made a comment to me as to where I got my Mexican yard worker from. My feeling after that comment was just shock. I feel there is still racism in America especially toward Latinos.

The clear message from the article that I understood that its about over population as the result of too much immigrantion, its a plausible argument. It's an opiniated article imo.

To say it couldn't be a race issue is stupid.

I'm not saying Mr. Biscuits that you are stupid, I'm saying that the notion that racism can't be up for debate is stupid.

My personal belief is that we should help others no matter the circumstances because in the end we are all the same.

there is racism all over the world, as well as any other kind of bigotry you'd like to imagine. there are also asshats all over the world, but we don't number someone among them just because their beliefs may converge.

that's just fine and dandy and i wholeheartedly agree, but it is impossible to save everyone. the limits set on immigration are there precisely so we don't end up overburdening the system, as we are doing now. taking in every tom, dick and harry defeats the purpose if we destroy ourselves in the process.

very valid points, what if its not immigration that's the problem but over breeding. Having four or five kids for every family.

let's not even go there. we could get into that subject and i could probably even dig up some statistics, but i can already hear the screams of racism and the dubious pronouncements that it is every man's right to procreate. why don't we just leave it at, the poor out-breed both the wealthy and the middle class. it may seem a cliche, but it is one based on solid fact. in an age where contraception is practically given out on street corners, i have yet to figure out why those who have the largest families so often are the ones least able to provide for them.

eh, I disagree. I know for a FACT, I didn't come from Africa.

I came from Italy... well, my parents were from Italy. I was born in the U.S.A. though.

But yeah, I'm not from Africa, and neither were any of my ancestors.

You and your family might be from Africa, but not mine.

Peace.
actually, we are ALL from africa originally. that's where humans came from, best we know.

also, you may want to look at the impact of the moorish invasion on italians.

i'll give you the hollywood version:

China is a great example of what our population could become. To leave out the notion that overbreeding is over ruled is stupid, its a combination of overbreeding, illegals and immigrants developing/coming in our country.

I'm actually not sure about that one, mind digging up some statistics on that?

The reason people have problems taking care of their families is because the wealth is moving to the top few percent of the people.

the poor out-breed both the wealthy and the middle class.
Wow. It's not that there are Wealthy Babies and Poor Babies it's that there are Babies.

We should challenge ourselves on our thinking. It is our ignorance that limits us the most.

After reading this thread I have one thing to say.

All of you people who do believe having babies or immigration of any sort will cause literal overpopulation you are sadly mistaken. It is economically impossible to overpopulate the Earth. Period. Sure, you could say, "Damn there are way too many fucking people here for my taste!" From a literal view it is impossible. Don't use overpopulation as an excuse to somehow discriminate against people. Mexicans are not the downfall of the United States. You all probably could not fathom what the US economy would look like without immigrants, which is sad because they are so taken for granted.

What is the deal with all of the racist people on this forum? This is the last place I would have thought I'd see this shit.

Don't fool yourself into thinking you are "realists", or whatever stupid name you have for your blatant hatred.

Seriously, smoke some pot. Reevaluate your willful ignorance. There is enough of that in the world already.

I'll agree with a good bit of what you say, I'd add the world's "wealth" is not fixed as a sum. It can be increased so that it is not seen as a competition for a finite amount of "wealth". I can't hold anything against people like Bill Gates for achieving what he has. His creations have caused technology that has allowed others to earn a living. I feel no compulsion to take his money away from him unless he has committed fraud or stolen. Bill Gates has "allowed" many people to become millionaires or earn a good living and has earned some respect with a good deal of charity. He is the ultimate example of a nerd that made good.

I think the reason people are struggling today has alot more to do with Banks, business and government creating the perfect storm for economic disaster. When they are interbreeding the results aren't good.

Have looked through some of this post and my thoughts on the subject is immigration dose not have a chance of destroying America. The damn politicians will have it destroyed way before they have a chance.
