that's right: 2 Pro-200-PARs and one Pro-420-PAR covering a 5'x10' area

and no A/C in that room, just a dehumi. and the vent for the central air is covered airtight, with a freezer storage bag and that silver HVAC tape, cuz i like it to stay warmer in there than i have the heater set for in the house.

and so i ask you:

16.8 watts per square foot is good, right? :grin:

Has anyone every made DETAILED PAR readings with the 420 and shared them with the world?

FYI Indagro also charges a 25% restocking fee if you return any light, opened or not.

Sorry. I really am very new at this.

While my wife (SWMBO) was in the process of applying for her OMMP card, I read a lot of pages of this web site. Learned a ton about HID lights (how much needed/sqft, cooling, yadda yadda.) Not really what i wanted to put up with.

Looked at the LED option. That looked like the way to go and I almost bought an Advanced LED light. No extra cooling and it lasted forever. No need to buy bulbs every six months.

Then I happend across a thread about induction lighting. This, for reasons unknown to me, really seemed to be the way. IGrow was the one that I was looking at, and again almost ordered it. Luckily I continued to read threads and found this one discussing Inda Gro. I liked the fact that it had only one bulb. No bulb changes. Simple is the way to go for me. Called them up and ordered one. I was lucky to get it in the grow room, SWMBO wanted to keep it because it was so bright (sun shines about 3 months out of the year here.)

Scrog seemed like the best way to grow with this light so I read what I could on how. I changed over to 12/12 53 days after the clone was cut. Not sure when you start counting veg days. Didnt quite fill up the screen but came close enough for the first time.

She is Cinex (sp) in a #20 smart pot full of Ocean Forest and Light Warrior with a little dolomite lime and I feed her Earth Juice once a week. I only hope I make it to the end. Scared that some how I will screw it up. I got home from a business trip yesterday to find the early stages of mites. I have had Azamax, but didnt use it like I should have. Think that will be a weekly thing from the beginning next time.

As I said I am new at this and would love any advice that is given. Without RIU I wouldnt have gotten this far.

Your plants look gorgeous and given the choice between HID, MH, T5, CFL or Induction, I'd have gone with induction too.

But LED is still more efficient than induction when you factor PAR/watt and PAR/dollar ratios simply because by design LED will also have the best PAR/watt ratio IF properly designed (which is why shopping for the right LED is so important).

I'll keep reading for sure :)

I was very close to choosing LED. Induction just mesmerized me or something, Tesla was a genius. Im not anywhere near unhappy with my choice.
That being said, the pontoon thingy may be my next purchase. I was going to get a smaller Indagro for a mother and veg, but that may be on hold.

Looking at my Edison acct online.

Last night
9pm - 1.57 kWh
10pm, 420 turns off
10pm, 1.14 kWh
430 watts difference

At least I know my 420 is working :)

today is day 60 for the girls, and was also chop day for the Oregon Licorice.

she smelled SO candy, it's silly... notes of licorice and necco wafers, and an amazing bubblegum top note ~ so much louder than the previous runs i've done of this strain. i can not wait to see her all done and cured!

i took some pics of her as i was working on her; enjoy!

thanks bro! i really appreciate the kind words.

the loudest thing in there is the dehumidifier (in the room, not in the tent). i have an 8" inline that is speed controlled to about 20% or so of max speed, and on a thermostat. you literally can not hear it when it is on. the only tell is that you can feel the temp drop when it's running.

it makes it so that i can use the closet area of the bloom room as a hanging section for fresh harvest; the room is cool, dark, and kept at 50% rH with redundant hepa for zero mold.
