Hey gang!

i hope everyone's doing well -=o)

been really busy lately (what's new) but I remembered to go shoot the day 15 video for my current girls.

i've also been working of fitting one of my undercurrents with a set of sprayers so that i can just start barely-rooted babies in it and not have to fill it up with the full 70+ gallons... things are almost done and ready to get leak checked and cleaned in prep for some babies... i should be able to start showing updates on that in a week or 2, maybe 3...

Thanks for the rep you guys, I really appreciate it!

Now I have a question or two. The buds that smelled great like grapefruit now have a grassy/chlorophyll odor to them. Is this normal? Should I be freaking out? My drying tent has constant non direct air moving thru it, temps are 65 and humidity it mid 50's. Are those parameters acceptable for drying?

I did inspect them for mold and did not see any....yet.

Just part of the decarboxylation process, will be back to its pretty smell when it is done drying but i have personally noticed that the smells seem to change a lil bit while in the jar. I am of the opinion that the slower the dry the better the flavor in the end product i usually aim for 5-7 days

have you had any issues with root bounding in the 3 gal pots? Those plants are huge for those pots. I remember you used to run 7 gals. I'm just down grading pot size to fit more in veg and trying to figure stuff out. I do living organics . Lots of enzyme teas.

This is what I do for curing for some time now.........https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=186222 not the "best" way, but for me it's soooooo easy and the outcome is great after 30days.

if you think that of their proportions now, you woulda shat yourself to have seen them when they were in 1gal. LOL!

but in all seriousness, no, i haven't. when i transplant to larger containers, i always cause a good amount of root trauma, to break the spin-out, and also to encourage new root growth into the added soil volume. to be precise, i use a razor and cut in at least 18 evenly spaced vertical cuts from the bottom of the rootmass to the top, at least 1/2 inch deep. then i use a long bladed bread knife to cut the bottom 1 inch off the rootmass. i also prune the topside of the plant, to sorta balance things out...

these girls got that treatment 1 month ago; 2 weeks to recover in that tent on 18/6, then a final pruning and flip to 12/12 2 weeks ago...
 
PSUAGRO, read that entire thread and gonna give it a try. My freezer is cold! 14 degrees and 16% humidity. Do those numbers sound ok?

works best with frost free / proof freezers. If you don't have a frost free. Put jars in a box. But leave the box open slightly. Make sure there is nothing else in the freezer than can have any moisture. The buds can absorb that moisture. I stopped doing freezer cure because my freezer is usually full these days. Ironically I have a frost free freezer now. One day I will buy a mini frost free freezer just for curing.
