Indica Growth During Flower?

Got a question, I am used to sativas that double and in some cases (Sour D) nearly triple in size during flowering, but the Af-Goo\SuperSilverHaze mix I just grew barely at all veritcally during flower.

Is this pretty typical of indicas? Alot of sources on the net say indicas won't even double, while other sources say every plant should double in size during flower.

My yield is a bit lower than it should be because I anticipated them doubling in size during flower, and I'm curious if I should plan to veg for longer if I do indica again or if this was a trait specific to the genetics.

I prefer Indica, thats mostly what ive been growing.. and depending on how small you flower them, ya know depends a lot on size.. but the most ive seen with my plants is a double in size during flowering.. thats it.. they've stayed pretty short and bushy..

The ones I just finished didn't even come close to doubling... maybe 50%. I guess you kinda just have to plan for a double in case but it sucks when you realize you didn't veg for long enough.

Also had a hard time filling my canopy, considering topping next time if Indica. What size containers did you use?

The Af-Goo cross I grew would be perfect for a Sea of Green with 1 gallon pots or so.

i have 3 indicas and 3 sativas in a tiny closet space (approx.2x4x7) and am not sure whats going to happen when they start flowering. theyve been switched to 12/12 a few days ago so i still have some time yet before i notice vertical growth. the sativas are about 10 inches higher than the indicas. had to veg them longer than expected so i hope they dont double in size.

Well i use 5 gallon pots on all of them. I know its plenty big, i just dont want to worry about the roots ya know. since sometimes i get huge plants and sometimes they 're tiny.. but ak, its freaking huge.. ive topped a few plants.. its like getting a lot of middle-sized colas.. its pretty neat. but i like the HUGE cola for myself. ya know.

Oh yeah once you top them the colas may grow a little taller, but not much.. I remember the ones ive topped became alot wider, and took up tons of space, outward of course.

Bend them slowly with zip ties and spiral the stalk around the edge of the soil container. I like better than topping b/c equal light gets to lower branches and you still get a main cola.

Nice grow CourtCourt.

Yeah, I'm actually running short on clones this time, so I may top a whole bunch of them if for nothing else to fill my canopy.

Running 3600 watts and only have fifty five clones (five look like they may not make it) so I'm hopeful topping will bush em out.

If you have plenty of head room say about 8 feet, would it be best to "Not" top the plants or "LST" them and just let them grow big and tall?

I mean its really up to you... i tried both ways just to see what would happen. i have Really high ceilings also.. about 13 feet. but i guess what it really comes down to is your width and depth... if you dont have much depth.. then not toping would probably be the best IMO..

Thats probably a good idea to be honest.. I have about the same room.. and ive got 6 plants in there right now, and its very tight.. im already staking up some of them so they dont grow out too much..

Did your buds get taller the entire flower stage or did they stretch and stop? I'm growing a full indica in Scrog
