Sounds like u have a stealth cab sitting around just begging to have that 250 watter installed. I have 200 watts in my cab and it's doing great. Just a thought would be a shame to let that 250 sit for too long.

Yeah I'm pretty pleased with the results so far. I can't believe how big they are getting and it isn't even June yet.
I would love to plug that 250w in, but just don't have the room. It might work with an auto or something really short. The only thing would be ventilation. Last time I plugged it in it hit over 90 degree in no time and the way the room is set up I can't cut holes for external ventilation. It is a shame just having it sit there. I'll make good use of it though someday.

I know I shouldn't be going out there this often, but wanted to water the ones I didn't get to last time and take some new pics. The two I said I was 90% sure were female, I'm now 99% sure are female. Tried to get some pics of the preflowers, but they came out too blurry. Some of them are looking a little leggy, especially that last one, and I don't think they are getting enough light. Think I'm gonna go out with an axe or bow saw sometime this week and start taking out some trees. There are a couple small ones in my way that won't be too hard to take out and give me at least 2-3 more hours of light.
Here's a quick rundown: #1 Northern Lights 1 month (feminized), #2 Ceres Purple 1 month (feminized), #3 Northern Lights 1 month (feminized), #4 "Sativa" 7 weeks (sex unknown, but have a feeling it's going to be male), #5 unknown, female preflowers 7 weeks, #6 unknown, female preflowers 7 weeks.

Whats up sonar? You were on my thread a while back. Looks like your are doing good so far. Mine are good just been getting a shit load of rain so far it sucks! You said you having problems with close up pictures? Are you using a digital camera? If so use the macro feature. It looks like a flower symbol usually on a button. My phone even has one. It's for getting those good close bud shots and any close ups. Its funny I never had a clue what it was for till I did my first grow last year and wanted bud shots lol

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked my camera and it has it. Have to try it out next time. I had a lot of rain earlier in May, but it's actually been really dry here the past few weeks.
Yeah I saw that. I was tempted it seems like a great deal. They had a similar special on 4/20. It was 3 free seeds, tshirt, and mug. That's actually why I bought the Purple to spend the minimum for the freebies. So far I'm really liking that Purple. Something about the shape and color of the leaves I really like. Like all my plants so far, it seems like it got a little stretched since I moved it outside, but while I was starting it indoors, it was really short and compact. The description says it was developed to be a short flowering for outdoors, but I think it would work well indoors too.

Took my weekly walk out today and noticed some problems. 2 of my 3 big plants are half toppled over. Not at the stem, the stems are strong. They are being ripped out at the roots. If you look at picture #4 up above, you can see it is already starting to lean to one side. When I went out today, it was at about a 45 degree angle to the ground. I'm a little surprised. It's been a little windy, but no big storms or any really strong winds. Some of the big fan leaves at the top are acting almost like sails and pulling them right out of the ground. Not really sure what to do. Going to try to pick up some stakes and go back out later or tomorrow and tie them down. I wasn't able to do much while I was out since after only a few minutes some dark clouds starting rolling in and it looked like we were about to get a storm. They've been out for about a month and a half, I would think the root system would be strong enough to hold them in by now. Also, the odor is getting quite strong. I can smell them from a good 50 ft away.
All the other plants are looking great. As a preventative measure, I think I'm going to put some stakes in next to the smaller ones so it doesn't disturb the root system later. The Low Girl is in full flower and will hopefully be done in a few weeks. I took the White Dwarf auto out on tuesday or wednesday and that's looking good too. Like all the plants I put out so far this year, it's put on some nice growth once it hit the natural sunshine.
Hey Nel, if you are stilling checking in, what do you think I should do about it? You think staking them now will help? My only worry is disturbing the root system even more, but I think if I do nothing the next strong storm is going to blow them away like a paper bag in a hurricane.

I always stake mine from day 1. I wouldn't worry about the roots as far as driving the stake in.

Had off today so I figured why not take a walk out. It was raining all day yesterday and I have 2 more casualties. One of my Northern Lights got broken in half, and my White Dwarf auto got all messed up. The White Dwarf got uprooted somehow, but wasn't too severely damaged, so I replanted it. The growth has been pretty slow to begin with, so I'll be pretty surprised if it makes it. The rain wasn't even that bad. No strong winds or anything just light, steady rain all day long. The next storm we get will probably wipe it out. The stakes are helping a little bit, but I feel that contributed to the demise of the one Northern Lights. I don't think I tied it right and the plant didn't have much room to sway, so I'm thinking it just snapped. In my defense, I don't think Nirvana's Northern Lights is really built for the outdoors. The stem is really thin and the plant itself is pretty delicate and spindly. I was thinking at first it was a light issue, but I have the other NL right beside the Purple, and the Purple is doing awesome. It's short and bushy and is about half the height of the other NL even though they are right next to each other so they are receiving about the same light. Nirvana says it is mostly indica, but they seem to be more on the sativa side to me, but I could be wrong. I think I mentioned before that the NL were suppose to be for an indoor grow. I was showing a trusted relative pics of my bigger plants and telling him about the hps light I bought but don't have anywhere to use. I guess he got all excited and insisted I could do it at his house, so I went and ordered the fem NL seeds from Nirvana. Not really sure why I got more seeds considering I still have seeds from Attitude I picked up on 4/20. Anyway, when the time came, he chickened out. Here are the survivors:
1) Ceres Purple fem 5 weeks
2) Nirvana Northern Lights fem 8 weeks
3) Low Girl top
4) Low Girl side
5)"sativa" 8 weeks sex unknown

According to Advanced Seeds, Low Girl finished in 60-65 day, so that gives me a good 3-4 weeks yet. Hoping it starts packing on some weight here in the home stretch.
Now that I'm looking at it, I think I better put another tie on the Purple closer to the top next time I'm out. Don't want that one breaking in half on me.

Hey NeL I have a few concerns about staking and what I'm going to do later in the season. The plant in 7 and 8 is my only female so far and unfortunately that's the worst one in terms of falling over. The stake itself is 36" and is probably pounded in the ground about a foot, giving me 2 feet of support. As you can see the plant is much taller than the stake. Rough estimate, how much more verticle growth can I expect at this point? Not too worried about the stem breaking on me since they are pretty thick. It's actually probably about twice the thickness of the stake. I'm mostly worried about what's going to happen if it keeps growing and growing vertically. If it makes it into flower, what's going to happen when it starts getting some bud weight on there? I don't think a 2 foot long piece of wood is going to cut it. Even now, the stake seems like it's bending to the stem, rather than the stem being pulled by the stake. Not sure what I'm going to do to keep her from uprooting. I was thinking maybe some darker colored string anchored to the hillside in the background and the other end tied about 3/4 of the way up the plant? Any suggestions?

They sell 3/4 inch 8 ft bamboo sticks at home depot. I buy mine in bulk from a greenhouse distrubution center localy. That will hold up your plants till the end.
As for how big it can get, alot bigger bro. You could LST the thing down a bit while still staked. This will strenghten the stem and also keep down the height.
