Intake fan or passive?

Hi guys,

Currently have two tents with 10” extraction in each.
I’ve got passive intake from outside

will adding an intake fan help me drop a degree or two?

there’s already a good amount of air getting in with it just passive. Just wondered if the cost of a fan is going to be justifiable

Cooler air on the intake side is what you need. 10 inch is moving a lot of air, what size tent and what model fan?

In my experience, it didn’t matter how I brought the air in my tent. What mattered was the temp of the air being brought in. If the room the tent is in is hot, and this is where you are getting your air, the air isn’t gonna get any cooler on its way into the tent. Maintaining cooler temps outside the tent is how you effectively drop the temp on the inside.

It’s a 12 x 8 ft tent with four 1000w DE HPS

I’m bringing cold air in from outside but wondered if forcing the air in with an intake fan would be beneficial

Absolutely it would be. What are the temps on the inside of the tent by the way, I don’t recall you mentioning that?
