When did you know it was time to switch light cycles? Just let the plant tell you or what?I dont think a little less than 12hrs of light can hurt anything besides MAYBE final production. There are plenty of places where marijuana would grow in the wild that would get less than 12 hours of light at some. I use to grow in washington. by end of september and and start of october the sun came up at 7 and was down at 6. that was about half way thru flower cycle they started getting 13/11 naturally. 12/12 is just most common!
If you are growing indoors it is up to you to start the flowering phase (12/12 lighting or whatever you are using). Some people don't want their plants to get too big for their grow area so they start earlier. Some use their plant for cuttings/clones and never start flowering to keep it as a mother. How big and how old is your plant(s)? Whenever you are ready switch the light cycles. When did you know it was time to switch light cycles? Just let the plant tell you or what?

Keep in mind that the plants can triple in size during flower. If you are growing indoors it is up to you to start the flowering phase (12/12 lighting or whatever you are using). They were fine! washington is cold and has low light! cloudy most of the time! the angel the light hits make it less intense than in cali. the light cycle didnt affect the growth near as much as the cold and low light. Just did a small (20) outdoor crop up there twice then moved indoor then moved the indoor to cali.
