Is 819w enough?

I am running 7 30w-117w cfls in a 4ft by 4ft grow box, is this enough lighting for the size? Answers are greatly appreciated, I've gone for biodiesel x automass, doing it like this first to fund a proper set up, any answers are much appreciated. Cheers:weed:

ill be honest , dont expact great things from cfls , there good to veg under but toss for flowering , if your intending to flower with them you will struggle to get a yield , 4 foot square means a 60 quid parabolic off ebay set up , the investment will return in kind

That'll be more than enough to veg with, but plan to get some smaller ones and surround your plants for flowering.
Check out my link in sig.

But I've seen any amounts of people growing with cfls who also used them for flowering.
you can and there's enough evidence that shows that CFL can produce good bud. Make sure you have 2.7Kelvin for flowering and 6.5Kelvin for vegetative state. Most important: keep your cfls as close as possible to your plants.

well you say that

ive a T5 lightwave thats presently got 12 autos under it , its a 8 tube jobbie so call it 400 watts they were flowered at exactly the same time as the plants next to them which are 16 autos under a 600 hps , this picture was taken last week , i wont say any more and you can make your own mind up , hows about that , if you want another photo then i can take one tonight ( nowt better to do with myself )

Not everyone needs or wants to grow monster plants. I always throw more away than I ever use. Literally.. right down the disposal. Chop Chop Chop.. slurp.....

I grow for 'me'... I like 2 or 3 small plants of good genetics running perpetually so I can harvest a few quality ounces of different stuff every month (or so.. sometimes more, sometimes less), month after month.

Nothing more, nothing less.

CFL's allow one to do that in a small space using limited resources and they don't 'stink' nearly as much as having them under a HID.. they just don't.. even in the same temps..

CFL's are also the way to go for us 'city' dwellers who have to live in apts and such and like our neighbors and don't want to chase them out with a bigger grow than a side box.

I love CFLs so much I would marry them if they would just quit rejecting my advances.. seriously.

CFL's work great. I got over 2 zips my first grow on one plant with 265 watts, and I harvested a tad early.
I think an 800 watt cfl grow is way overkill.
I would never buy that many watts in cfl's before buying an HID kit.

Edit: Nevermind I can't readI guess.

You can have amazing results in both the vegetative & flowering stages if you spend a little time, buy the right CFLs and set them up in such a way that the plant receives the majority of their output. I have a 400w HPS that I refuse to use because I get better results with my CFL setup of the same wattage.

Check the links in my sig if you want to see some of the results of good CFL usage
