did you do a side by side grow with misting and not misting,or are those stats pulled from your ass?[

not done right at the same time side by side cuz i didnt have the room to do so... but the same strain one show after another same grow box same light same nutes through out the whole show, just one with mist and one with out mist and i personally got better results when sprayin with "BRIX+" then with out misting with it......... i will agree on that with you tho what works with my strains for medical use might not work for other peoples strains that is agreeable :)...... just givin my opinion that i truely believein "BRIX+" and will used it in every show... and i know that plants can just go with feeding and no misting i have a degree in horticulture they will do just fine with out a misting... just tellin the starter than he is safe to mist freely but to keep an eye on humidity if that goes up too high buds have a better chance of molding :peace:

Shit, you guys, come on. Foilar feeding or not is a PERSONAL PREFERENCE. I dont but my buddy does and we BOTH do fine. Dont get me wrong there are advantages to each and i have done both and at some other time i plan on doing it again but like i said it is a personal preference and nothing to argue or insult intellegences about. There are ups and downs to both and it can also have other factors involved like climate, humidity, lighting, ect...

i mist with a 400 w metal halide 18 inches from plants , i have misted and soaked them with lights on and off, and never have had a burn or a bad experience, it can speed veg growth when toping or taking cuttings, but i am doing this in a grow box 5 feet tall 2 feet wide by 2 feet long, with outside forced air, and it is not that cold in cali, hope this helps, i do see my plants recover faster with frequent misting, with kelp solution it is 1-1-1 10 ml to 1 2 liter bottle . i did spray my flowering plant outside , but only because it was outside

According to the book I just read, Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible By Jorge Cervantes, misting is cool. Basically it says to stop fertilizing 7 to 10 days before harvest...flush the root system with a couple gallons of water also 7 to 10 days before harvest...mist heavily during the last week before harvest, but shake the buds to remove water droplets...So, yes, like rombomb420 said, mist freely.

all your water and nutrient absorption happens at the root Zone. I am not a boiler feeder for sure unless I'm trying to clone. I go so far as not to wet anything but the pot of soil and never any leaves are buds throughout my entire grow.

I believe misting your plants is essential for outdoor grows. Up until the end of flowering your plant is likely to be under attack from mites and the like. Early in flowering you can keep colonies at bay with misting under leaves with potassium soap even diluted organic ferts. Avoid the buds unless the mites are out of control. Mouldy mites are the worst! Towards end of flowering just water to keep any mites from partaking in your harvest. Indoors I do not mist my plants or foliar feed unless I can control a fan to completely dry them off relatively quickly.

If you are having a damp summer then misting should be less necessary as rain is doing the job of keeping pesky mite populations low. However, if long and hot, then depending on leaf signs and damage, you can either have mites or risk of mould. I also think the girls appreciate cool misting on hot days. They probably absorb extra water so can grow bigger.

In an ideal world, I like to turn on my 20" fan and spray the water upwards so that the fan delivers it at some speed to the underside of the leaves and elsewhere blasting mites to kingdom come and maybe some eggs. I leave the fan running for a while revolving plants as they dry. I would do this for longer if it rained on them during flower or bring them in ideally before. I do not leave my plants dripping wet but if its sunny all day not so worried if not bone dry.

Rot is miserable. If you see a leaf sprouting from the main cola up sidedown investigate. Gently push the bud in the area. If you see unhealthy grey, or the buds giveway, you most likely have mould. Start cutting back everything in area. Look carefull everywhere else. Inspect all bud with clean hands after touching mould. Get thet plant in a room dehudified at lowest setting c30% and not near other plants. Depending how long until harvest and your success in removing all signs of mould will depend her future. If not sure, check again the next day - its that quick!

Hope that helps. In a truly ideal world you probably would do best not to mist them. Unfortunately thats what the mites like.

I don’t ever foiler spray. I read a few times that you can and can’t depending on what you prefer so I choose not to it’s my right please don’t judge. Thought I would drop in. Have a great day.

Great news because there is absolutely no need to. However if you ever have nutrient deficiencies, cos of PH say, then it can help plants get through it as it can be absorbed quickly. I use dilute non-organic Formulex if a plant nose dives or gets spots! Hope you don't go there. It can also be used early in flowering to assist. You decide. All best with your grows

lol buds get rained on when grown outdoor.. they can be misted i mist every show ... during vegg i mist daily when lights are on and have never burned a leaf from that before....and during flower i mist once a week only cuz the stuff i use for flowering (BRIX+) is very very very very strong stuff... will kill any other plant ... only plant it wont kill is you MJ plant... AND I HAVE NEVER EVER EVER EVER MOLDED OR BURNED A MH PLANT IN MY LIFE...... i would just recommend that if misting during FLOWERING keep and eye on HUMIDITY if it gets too high stop misting cuz then mold might happen....... and darkdestruction420 trics are NOT BRITTEL in any way... i mist every show during flowering and my MJ plants are covered in TRICS man covered... its when your hands touch them they break off and stick to your hands
I wonder if this poster has gotten any smarter in the last 10 years.
