They look good man, but the rocks may be compacting the soil, I would get some perlite and fresh soil and repot JMO
]perlite is perlite man[/B], i used what i have this is my first grow and i thought that might have been the case i havent givin them any in about 1 1/2 weeks.
lol..no, perlite is airy, fluffy, and retains water and it airiates the soil for the roots to get oxygen..
i'm just using normal topsoil, i'm using mg nutes though 12-4-8 but i deluted it but i have stoped feeding them and perlite is just something to make the soil more air'y and these seem to be working fine and seeing as you dont even really need perlite i dont see the issue
That'a a little too much N...IMO...get the MG Household Plant food, it has a NPK of 8-7-6 it's closer to what you want, too much of one nute will lock out another and it looks like a Mag lockout to me...good luck man

Yeah 5.8-6.2 in soil? A cap of Cal-Mag. What is the measurement of a cap?
In Hydro you want 5.8 for optimum nute intake...for soil you want 6.5 to 7.0 for intake...Nutrient-Lockout-Chart-Cannabis-2.jpg
can someone link me to where to buy the "right" perlite and the "right" nutes online i'll just get a prepaid credit card i no perlite will be expensive to ship
If you have a walmart close by, you can get MG soil and perlite cheap :bigjoint:

Where are you using aquarium rocks, now I'm confused?!?! If you're using them as a substitute for perlite in ANY capacity you will fail. And perlite helps with better water retention, not "making the soil more airy". You need to do some more research, son.
Perlite helps with drainage and also IS used to aerate the soil, "son".

thank you +rep to both and yea i might have to get another jug of nutes, i was just told to get one with lots of nitrogen for veg so that's what i did. but when i go into town today i will get another jug and look for MG perlite,

also has anyone ever grown in reuseable shopping bags?

if so how did it work i've heard if there a dark color there the same as smart pots and i wouldnt mind trying that in a few weeks when i trans plant em!

Ive used MG on my out door grows works well, some strains take to it better than others. My suggestion when using MG or any other nuts. is always start off with light feeding 1/4-1/2 recommended strength. Watch your plants, if they look green healthy and happy then stick with that amount of feeding. If you start to see the tips burn skip a feeding and back off on the amount. If you dont have access to smart pots and thats what you want to grow in, do a search, I saw a few days ago on how to build your own smart pots. I think you can pick up the materials at any lowes, home depot, or any place that has a garden center.

but then again for 5gallon smart pots on ebay is like 20$ so thats not to bad really i'd lot to try them,

and i did start easy with them at 1/2 and i'm only at 3/4 now but now that i think about it they did start this when i switched to 3/4 two feedings ago
